Hello VJ family,

I got a message on CEAC and an email saying that I am DQ'd however I was missing the front page of the passport. I submitted it the same day I got the email but it hasn't been accepted yet. Am I really DQ'd or is there a glitch and im back in queue again? which would be super frustrating as it would be the 3rd submission. I'm human it happens but just wanted to clarify.

Do I just need 1 of these or is it best to try to get more?

Casablanca Interview Documents

Good morning! I am a little confused on what to provide for my husbands interview in Casblanca (not yet scheduled, just trying to put things together now)! Can someone clarify what this means?

If you are married: Your original marriage certificate, sworn English translation, and a photocopy.

If you were previously married: Your original divorce or spouse s death certificate, sworn English translation, and a photocopy.

If you are older than 16 years of age: The original police certificate from your country of current residence and countries of previous residence. If these three items are all true, you must bring a more recent police certificate to the interview:

  1. You are older than 16 years;
  2. You obtained a police certificate and submitted it to NVC more than one year ago; and
  3. You still live in the country that issued the police certificate.

I find the wording very confusing. I am the petitioner, I know my husband has to provide his police and court record with translations and copies, but I am not sure what this means for me. Is this something I provide? Any help would be appreciated!

Morocco E-Visa

I see starting on July 10th, Morocco will be starting e-visas for 49 countries. My question is about my passport. I got married last year but have not changed my passport to my married name since I had 4 years left before it expires. Since they will now require a e visa for entry to Morocco, is it necessary to update my passport now or am I still ok to wait for it to expire?

I was wondering if it would cause any issues getting a e visa since I don t know what information is asked for when applying for a e-visa. My married name is updated on my social and everything else like driver s license.

Adil went to Moroc to bring his mom back for her visit here. i told him "bring the meds she needs for the entire stay as she has diabetes"

he called from Moroc and said the one med for 60 days was expensive $43 and asked what would it cost in US/ looking this up " it anywhere from $350 to over $600

he didn't

then he franically tried to find a dr here who would see her to prescribe her needs and no appointment till September (she leaves in August)

so, he called his aunt to send the meds by DHL which was a nightmare

several posts to his phone to list all meds, dosage, manufacturer ,etc

another post to fill out his EIN or SS #, email ID and US address to verify and his relationship to her (different last names as women don't change surname when married but kids take the last name of father (call to customer service to explain this)

another post to send copy of the passport and visa page of the person

another post to send the prescription itself in English (and a call to customer service as Dr does not read or write English)

another post to fill out new form for sender info and relationship

another post to declare (again ) the price and they wanted invoice and receipt (and a call to customer service as Moroc pharmacies don't do this)

there were about 4 more forms to fill out for various government rules

all the above were for Belgium customs ( the 1st stop)

we just went thru all this again for US customs

all this is just to warn anyone traveling

bring enough meds for the entire trip plus a few days more in case of airline issues

carry the meds on carry on luggage in case checked luggage is misplaced

and i think no matter where u are coming from our US drs and meds are more expensive so beware

Hope the above is more than just a rant but a help to understand US rules make it hard to do anything

and the DHL cost of 3 cardboard packs of meds was $120
