Hello, I am trying to figure out : At the green card interview do they keep your advance parole card/work permit? ( I know you get a green card if you are approved but I heard that takes weeks/months to actually receive it). We are traveling in late June and wonder if they take the advance parole card/work permit, in which case we could not travel until we get the green card. Thank you!

My Spouse is from Venezuela, permanent resident of Panama. He Has not lived in Venezuela for over 7 yrs. He obtained a BI/B2 visa 5 years ago without needing a Police Certificate from there. The Pre Interview upload requirement is asking for the Police Certificate. Which usually you can obtain online. However we have been unable to obtain one yet. Even staying up until 3 am in the morning on his date to apply for the certificate-the result is always the same "we have processed the limit of certificates this week (7,000 alledgedly). According to his family everything has been closed the last couple weeks due to the new strain of Covid. So we aren't even sure that someone is there processing at the time. 1. Is anyone else dealing with this, or has been successful in getting one recently? 2. Would this one of the items you can explain why you don't have it to upload and at least get moving forward while we continue to try to obtain for the interview? Any experience based advice appreciated Kind Regards

Good morning, On March 27th my husband took his oath as a US Citizen. He opted to get his name change. Although his new name appears on his naturalization form, we're more than a month out of his ceremony has not received the N-662 proof of a name change document, although he received the Naturalization certificate immediately. Any suggestions on what we should so? THANK YOU!

My world has just turned upside down. My spouse entered on a K-1 visa four years ago and we are now in the process of filing for divorce. We submitted the application to remove conditions (AOS) about 4 weeks ago. As a US citizen I have sponsored him, his adult daughter and his minor daughter who is just waiting for her interview at the consulate in Mexico. His adult daughter has been in the US for 3 years now. I no longer want to be their sponsor because I am older and my health is not good. What can I do at this time? Will my husband and stepdaughter be deported now and his minor child refused entry?

My wife has her visa interview in Ciudad Juarez next week. Our legal advisor told us to update our DS-260. And our interview letter said "Each applicant must complete the Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (Form DS-260)." We've already completed it but some of the information has changed in the 2 years since. I logged into CEAC and opened the DS-260 and all the fields are locked. Uneditable. Does anyone know how or if I can update the DS-260?
