I ve had DACA for the past 8 years. My Latest DACA permit expired in 2020 and I worked until my job said I could , which was right up until my permit expired. Unfortunately I didn t apply for a renewal within the timeframe required and lost my job. Thankfully I was able to put in my two weeks notice. Sincerely the best job I ve had. I enjoyed working there genuinely. Unfortunately I m at a standstill with this as well because at the same time I got a DUI for driving under the influence. Even if I wanted to apply to renew my permit , it states in the requirement for that a dui is a significant misdemeanor. I got a dui lawyer, however he promised to do the best he could but only did the bare minimum and I got Two years deferred guilty sentence. He was one of the worst lawyers I ve been to. Wasted the last few paychecks I had on him, to no avail. He said he would fight so I could Renew my permit but he wouldn t even show up to my court dates Well long story short .. I ve heard from people in my situation or worse that have gotten an approval after being convicted.. and I probably will get another lawyer. When I have sold most of my things.. only if I know for sure that he / she will fight for me so I can get it renewed and get back on my feet. Has anyone on here gotten a renewal approved after having a misdemeanor. ? I m desperate at this point.

Hey all! I didn't see a thread for August filers yet. Thought I'd start tracking here. August 5, sent concurrent filing, including I-130, I-485, and I-131. August 6, Package received at Chicago Lockbox August 8, Received text message notice of receipt. I was shocked to receive the initial receipt notice so quickly- and on a Sunday. I guess they're working overtime to get through that backlog?

Can anyone please tell me how to contact the consulate in Mexico and speak to a live person? My family is here in Ciudad Juarez for a interview for my two daughters for an IR 2 visa. The first appointment went well yesterday. The documents were looked at and the box was checked that every document necessary was there and today they went for the interview and were told that we needed documents that weren t even included on the list of documents necessary. My girls have a flight leaving in a few hours and I need to speak with someone there ASAP. I am the petitioner and the girl s father went with them. Can someone help please. This trip has cost us thousands of dollars in flights, hotels, etc
