Hello everyone. I will really appreciate your help with this. I am asking for a friend, this is his story. So he can't find his lawyer for a long time now, he just thought there were no updates. He decided to figure out how to check for updates himself online. So he checked and his last update is on January 31 of 2013! Last update is that his visa has been printed and will be sent to the DHL of his choice. He doesn't know what step to take next. He says he's been calling the USCIS but he doesn't speak english, so he can only go so far. He asks me if I think he needs a lawyer, but I'm not sure on that. He applied for immigration through his dad, so I assume it was with an i-130. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone! So my interview has been scheduled for November 5th! Which are great news! However, I moved to Texas by the beginning of September, I filed my change of address accordingly and have the confirmation emails to prove it. Nonetheless, USCIS didn't take note on my request of change of address and scheduled my interview in the Philadelphia Office. I called USCIS and the agent was not really helpful, he said it was up to me to determine if I should go to the interview and it would be up to the official interviewing me if they wanna carry out the interview or they would redirect me to the Texas office. Has anyone been in the same position as me? If so, what have you guys done about it? Did you go to the interview or tried rescheduling? The only thing I am afraid about rescheduling is that it might take a very long time to get the interview again. Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Hello everyone, My dad just got approved about 2 weeks ago. Have a lawyer and gathering what is needed after. My dad was telling me that the lawyer is telling him that there is a chance that he might get denied once he goes for the consular processing in Mexico for having brought me over as a child. Just hoping to get some info on that if anyone has heard of that happening and what can be done if that happens? Yes, I know I will probly get some replies saying to ask the lawyer, but just wanted to see if anyone has gone through this before and what their experience was like. Also, would love to get some info from people who have done the consular processing in Mexico recently and have a list of what is needed Thanks

Hello, I have my Juarez interview next week on Thursday. The email letter mentions to bring a police certificate, and I've heard its very important and one of the things they check for. However, I have no clue if I'm required to take one. I've lived in the US since I was 2-3 years old and I've never left. I see a police certificate isn't required for the US, but would I need something from Mexico? My lawyer mentions I don't need it. If it matters, I've had DACA since I was a minor. I'm just worried about showing up without it and them denying me without letting me explain why I don't have one. Anyone have any similar experiences?

Hey all, Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I couldn't find any relevant posts. My husband is currently awaiting his AOS, filed August 6. As you all know, with the delays and such, we're looking at maybe March or April, I'm hearing, before he can go to visit his nine-year-old son in Mexico. We are hoping that that process will go quickly, but if not, it'll be a full year before they can see each other in person. I've been flying back and forth in his stead, but, of course, I'm a poor substitute for dad. My stepson's mom has custody, and we have a great relationship with her. However, she is not interested in letting him move to the US for at least the next couple of years. My question is, would it be possible for us to get a tourist visa for him in the meantime? Everything I'm reading is saying to apply for an I130, but I don't know that that will help our situation, as we are not looking for him to immigrate anytime soon and do not hold legal custody. The consulate in Mexico City has been a mad house, and we've not been able to get many answers there. Anyone have any guidance or insight that might help us in this situation? Thanks so much for reading this far!
