Hello, I have my Juarez interview next week on Thursday. The email letter mentions to bring a police certificate, and I've heard its very important and one of the things they check for. However, I have no clue if I'm required to take one. I've lived in the US since I was 2-3 years old and I've never left. I see a police certificate isn't required for the US, but would I need something from Mexico? My lawyer mentions I don't need it. If it matters, I've had DACA since I was a minor. I'm just worried about showing up without it and them denying me without letting me explain why I don't have one. Anyone have any similar experiences?

Hey all, Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I couldn't find any relevant posts. My husband is currently awaiting his AOS, filed August 6. As you all know, with the delays and such, we're looking at maybe March or April, I'm hearing, before he can go to visit his nine-year-old son in Mexico. We are hoping that that process will go quickly, but if not, it'll be a full year before they can see each other in person. I've been flying back and forth in his stead, but, of course, I'm a poor substitute for dad. My stepson's mom has custody, and we have a great relationship with her. However, she is not interested in letting him move to the US for at least the next couple of years. My question is, would it be possible for us to get a tourist visa for him in the meantime? Everything I'm reading is saying to apply for an I130, but I don't know that that will help our situation, as we are not looking for him to immigrate anytime soon and do not hold legal custody. The consulate in Mexico City has been a mad house, and we've not been able to get many answers there. Anyone have any guidance or insight that might help us in this situation? Thanks so much for reading this far!

Hey all, Question regarding Advanced Parole. My husband and I intentionally applied for AP alone in hopes that the process would be shorter and allow him to get back to Mexico to see his son, as that is our current priority. Our case was accepted August 6 and the timeline online says 3-5 months. However, VisaJourney keeps sending me updated estimates saying that our approval is estimated to arrive in April. Anybody have any experience separating these two? Does it expedite the experience meaningfully? Do we have any hope of getting his AP approved before the end of 2020?

We applied 10 years ago and now applying again. Will they check the first DS-260 and compare to this new one we are filling out? It s hard to remember exact dates and I m afraid that if they don t match they will deny him. Also he has other children if we don t know their exact address will listing just the city and state suffice? thank you in advance

Hi all, My wife and I were married in a civil ceremony in 2019 upon her entrance on a K1 visa. Now we are planning to get married in a Catholic church in her home country where we will have a proper rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, 100+ guests all the things you d find at a typical wedding. Now obviously, weddings are expensive and we need to pay for vendors, the venue, the church etc, but I want to make sure all the transfer of money from the US is properly documented for the eventual ROC filing in a year. What is the best way to log financial transfers across borders? Also, if either of our parents want to contribute, should we have them transfer the money to us as a gift stating explicitly what it is for? Thank you!
