It states to funrnish required evidence including: - Evidence of the bona fides of the marriage, if petitioning for a spouse:
- Documentation showing joint ownership of property;
- A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence, meaning you both live at the same address together;
- Documentation showing that you and your spouse have combined your financial resources;
- Birth certificates of children born to you and your spouse together;
- Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship. Each affidavit must contain the full name and address of the person making the affidavit; date and place of birth of the person making the affidavit; and complete information and details explaining how the person acquired their knowledge of your marriage; and
- Any other relevant documentation to establish that there is an ongoing marital union.
We have none of these since I live in Colorado and she lives in Mexico. The o ky option is for an affidavit, what exactly are they looking for this to say?

Hi All, Just for the sake of educating ourselves, what is the roadmap for the processing of an I-130, I can't seem to find a stright answer. What i mean is, we have submitted, our application and received the first I-797C notifying us that Nebraska has our case. What comes next? Then after that? Then after that? Best, -Chris

Hi VJ members, My mom had her consular interview last Monday and she was approved We just got the envelope that was delivered to a local DHL but we were never told if we should open it or not. Back in 2016 when I became a resident I was told to take it as it was straight to the Immigration office at any international bridge and they would open it there and stamp my passport, I don't know if that remains the same or not. Would appreciate your guidance on this

If I move to Mexico to live with my wife after I have applied and submitted my sponsorship income stuff, will I later be disqualified if I have no income for the time living in Mexico? I have plenty to live off of for a while and my line of work would allow me to get another job almost immediately upon reentry.
