So we are in the middle of AOS and my step-daughters don't have their EAD's yet. I just adopted them today (so no longer step-daughters) and their names were changed on the court order. What is the best way to get their names updated at USCIS. I am not sure if I can call or do I need to send an letter with the order and where would I send it. I assume NBC but I am not sure. I also wasn't sure if it was something I could do online and upload documents there.

Just a day before my daughters would be outside normal processing times it was to 3.5 Months to 11.5 Months I don't know how it can go from May 30th to March 27th.. It seems this always happens right with they get to June 1st. I wonder if I apply for them to have advance parole would that speed up the EAD as they usually do combo cards. They both had the biometrics back in August and my wife got her EAD in October. This is frustrating as I want to file my taxes soon.

Hello there! I am trying to finish up the I-944 and it has a list of pubic benefits and asks if ever received them, which includes the following: - Any Federal, State, local, or tribal cash assistance for income maintenance;
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI);
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF);
- Federal, State or local cash benefit programs for income maintenance (often called General Assistance in the State context, but which may exist under other names);
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, or formerly called Food Stamps );
- Section 8 Housing Assistance under the Housing Choice Voucher Program;
- Section 8 Project-Based Rental Assistance (including Moderate Rehabilitation);
- Public Housing under the Housing Act of 1937, 42 U.S.C. 1437 et seq.; and
- Federally funded Medicaid
I am wondering, as an Active Duty military member, do I receive any of these benefits? Because I see on question 19 it has the option to check off that my wife (beneficiary) is a spouse of an active duty person (Me/petitioner). Mainly asking my current active duty military and veteran folks!

Hello everyone! Hoping someone can give advice. My husband (us citizen) and I are finally awaiting our appointment. We both live abroad. He files for his taxes in 2019 by tax preparer but upon checking on IRS website to get transcript, it didn t pop up. We asked the preparer and she said they sent it but for some reason IRS never got it. my husband did not make sufficient money 2019 and 2020 half of the year he was and still is unemployed. We got his mom to be a joint sponsor and she makes more than the 125 of poverty guidelines. what should we do with the taxes? he also filed for 2020 online, but couldn t file as married filing separate because i don t have ssn nor an ITIN. can someone pls advise on what to do. Much appreciated.

I helped my mom filled out her DS-160 for a B1/B2 tourist visa and it was denied in 2019. There was a question in the form asking if the applicant has relatives in the US and I answered Yes, the relative being my husband (my mom's son-in-law) Is that correct? I always wondered if having a son-in-law who is a USC caused her visa denial. Back then I didn't think twice about answering Yes because answering No seemed incorrect. And because we are always encouraged to answer truthfully. Any help is appreciated
