US Immigration from Kenya

Hello all,

Does anyone have experience with K 1 visa interview in Nairobi, Kenya. My fiance (from Uganda) and I have been waiting for appointment slots to open up since feb 6th in order to be able to make the visa payments. Does anyone know how long it takes for the embassy to open up new slots? Please advise.

my i-485 and i-130 got denied and we have my interview scheduled tomorrow. I don't know the reason for the denial(yet) and prior to this our interview was rescheduled by uscis 2 days before our previous interview appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. Has anyone experienced this? Should we still go to the interview? Thanks in advance.

I went for the interview on 4th December 2020, my babys certificate had an issue and was asked to provide evidence of our relationship. I sent all reqired document in one week. After several weeks my case being on administrative processing, i sent an email to the embassy and my case and in four days it changed to APPLICATION RECEIVED-NON-IMMIGRANT. its been two weeks now in the same status. who else has received the visa and how long did it take in APPLICATION RECEIVED status.

My beneficiary is 8,000 miles away... can she draft up a Letter of Intent to Marry, sign it, then scan it and send to me to print?

I'd rather do it this way for the sake of time (trying to get the petition done ASAP). Should i just bite the bullet and have her send it to me via snail mail?

I notice that most/many applications have photos of the couple meeting within two years.

We have been together 6 years... anyone who's been in a long relationship knows that most pictures are taken in the first two years (the honeymoon phase) then after that you have kids and suddenly there are lots of pictures of the mom with the kids, the dad with the kids, but few with both mom and dad in them.

My question is... i have 2-3 pictures of me and my beneficiary that fall within the 2-year window. I have a lot of pictures that actually display romance and affection etc but they are older than that. Is there any point in including them still, or will they be automatically discredited?

Is a child's CRBA (both our names on it, within two years) a good idea to include?
