Hello, My spouse and I (US citizen) have been documentarily qualified since April this year. We have been patiently waiting for the interview date. However it is getting very stressful and depressing for both of us, as I am in the USA and my spouse is still in Ireland. Has anyone been able to successfully get an interview appointment yet for IR1 visa? I have called the embassy, only to get a voice recording, and have emailed as well, getting no response back.

I-864 Joint Sponsor Income Questions |

Hi All, I hope this is the right place for this, I am using a Joint Sponsor, and her income comes from a few separate places. She makes just under the poverty guidelines from self-employed income (realtor) and has a 1099 for that, but she also has a 1099r that she also lives off of. Does this count as income or as an asset? It is inheritance from her deceased father's life insurance (and his retirement/a retirement stream if I'm not mistaken). With the amount on the 1099r she well exceeds the poverty guideline amount, so it would be helpful if this could be counted as income. If the 1099r counts as an asset and not income, is it worth front-loading as much of her other assets into the form as possible, or will the 1099r (which well satisfies the 3-5 times difference asset requirement) be sufficient? I'd also appreciate any direction or insight regarding calculating the current individual annual income; as she is a realtor and works off of commission, her income from that can be relatively inconsistent at times. Thank you all for your time

Hello, all - something happened yesterday and it got my attention. For reference, I am a K1 beneficiary, and had sent in my notice of readiness to the Dublin Embassy on February 20th and got back an interview scheduled for April 14th, 2020. They shut the Embassy down mid March, and so my CEAC status came up as "no status" ever since... Until yesterday, 23rd of August. I checked, and it came up as "Ready". I will attach a screenshot of this. Curiously, another K1 applicant who's only a few days behind me on their visa journey and had their interview scheduled around the same time checked her CEAC status yesterday also and it changed from "no status" to "ready" too. Those that had their application at the NVC still said "at NVC". Maybe I'm getting my hopes up too much, but should I think anything of this? I wonder could they be starting to reschedule cancelled interviews at Dublin? If any other Irish VisaJourney members could check their CEAC status, that would be a huge help. Maybe its a positive sign!
