US Immigration from Ireland

I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with obtaining a police certificate from Hong Kong (from abroad)?

The HK police state they will only send the certificate to "the relevant Consulate / Immigration Authority / Government Authority".

• Should this be sent to the NVC or to the embassy where I would be undertaking my interview (in my case Dublin)? I've tried to get in touch with both but I haven't heard back yet they're understandably busy.
• Either way I am assuming I should upload the receipt along with an explanation as to why the cert itself is missing?
• If I need to send it to the embassy, the only letter I have is my email from the NVC. Do I need anything from the embassy to state that they require it? Or did anyone just send a copy of their email along with the address of the relevant embassy?

Any advice from someone who has gone through the process would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone.

So after a long wait, almost 1 year, 223 days to be exact. We finally got the letter today from NVC stating they have sent our information to the Consulate in Dublin to complete our K1 processing since being open on DEC 1 from lockdown there. I am wondering if anyone knows how long it takes for Embassy there to receive the information and send the Welcome letter? Does anyone have an idea? and how long until interview is scheduled at that point as well. Thanks! And best of luck to all of you waiting !

I had my 2nd interview yesterday after my first. The CO had 3 follow up questions for me and then at the end he said I cannot say that I have approved you now but i just need to verify one information and will make a decision. He kept my passport and assured me that he will process my application fast and apologized for delaying my application. What does this mean for someone who has experienced the same, please?

Hi there. My medical exam shows that I have been exposed to TB and need to have an X-ray and possibly treatment. Because of that my medical report won t be ready on time for my interview in 2 days time.

what should I do? Reschedule my interview when I ve been given full clearance and report by doctor, or just go to the interview without the document?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

We were DQed November 27 and our case is still at the NVC. I ve spoken to the embassy and NVC and said we have to wait until it s our turn. I m confused though, considering the US embassy Dublin seems pretty slow and not very busy -

does the NVC divide cases into countries? Or are all the cases in one big pile and they send each one to the embassy required?

And does the Nvc send over your case and then the embassy schedules your interview? Or does the Nvc contact the embassy and they coordinate an interview date together?

last question - does the Nvc contact you regarding your interview through email or letter?
