I-485 Interview Experience and Minor Concern.

I have my marriage based I-485 interview through K-1 visa the other day and would like to share my experience.

My wife who attended with me but the agent only interviewed me. Not sure if this is usual or if it something I should be worried about?

Neither I or my wife have any red flags in our past that would cause any potential problems, no criminal history, or past immigration issues, etc. We have a 8+ year well documentated dating history prior to starting my immigration process and have done everything by the book.

The interview itself was pretty straightforward, it was about 30 min in duration and the agent basically just asked me a lot of the questions from the I-485 application and also some very basic relationship questions such as how did we meet, where we live, and some family related questions, pretty basic stuff.

I handed in two errata sheet to correct some mistakes on my initial application and I also submitted some updated marriage evidence, financial evidence, and vaccination evidence.

Overall the interview was relaxed and and a pleasant experience. The officer did not give approval on-the-spot but did say that he does not see any issues or concerns with the application and that I should keep an eye on my mail box in about 3 to 4 weeks for a letter detailing the next step.

Overall I came of the interview feeling quite positive about it. While I would have really liked to have been approved then and there, I understand that is not necessarily a bad sign, maybe the application needs supervisor approval or they need to review the additional evidence I supplied.

The only thing that I have a concern about is that my wife was not interviewed with me or even separately, but maybe I'm just being overly paranoid... All I can do at this point is wait for the decision.

Hello,

I am travelling back home for one week on my expired green card. I have applied for my I751 and have received my notice of action. What should I bring with me in addition to this notice and expired green card whilst travelling? I do have a previous overstay on my record and every time I have always been brought to the secondary inspection room.

Select Service System letter

This morning in the mail I received a "registration acknowledgement" letter from the select service system?

Looking online it seems that you must register if you're living in the USA between the ages of 18 and 25, but I didn't register for this myself.

Is this standard in adjustment of status? I've filed my I-485, got my I-765 card, currently working and waiting for my adjustment of status application to be approved for my greencard and this letter really surprised me and I'm honestly just wondering if anyone else had this happen or if it's standard?

Please help my head sort itself outt

lol

Just received my notice of action - rejection. My package was returned to me for the following reason : 'incorrect payment or payment not provided' .

I put a cheque for 750.00 into my package., The package returned to me didn't have the cheque included. The cheque was never cashed.

If I rewrite a cheque, can I resubmitted what they sent back to me aka my package - the package has been seperated into three sections with big staples by uscis. I removed these but there' s a staple mark at the top of each page - should I reprint?

Hi Everyone,

Putting together the packet and wonder how is this for evidence so far?

G-1145

Copy of GC

Lease agreement (printed double sided otherwise it would be 50pages)

Credit card bills (one for each year)

Health insurance cards

Retirement account beneficary

Tax transcripts (filed jointly)

Evidence of joint bank account (not statements)

copy of both drivers licenses

Boarding passes of trips we took

Photos of us on said trips

envelope addressed to both of us

I can also add out car insurance cards and phone bills

Does this seem comprehensive? Do i need a cover letter
