Do I need to notify employer when adjusting from H-1B to marriage based green card?

I am assuming once green card is received, it automatically supersedes the H-1B visa similar to how an H-1B visa would supersede and F-1 visa. Is there any way my employer can get notified automatically or would I have to let them know?

Hi, I had my i485 interview yesterday in tampa. It went very well officer said my application was approved and I saw him stamping approved on my application. To expect the GC in two weeks to a month. After leaving the interview the status changed to "card being produced" but later in the day it went to "interview completed case must be reviewed". Is this normal.
