Hello, my beneficiary s home was broken into and she believes the passport was taken during this time.

Currently, we have received NOA2 and the file is at NVC. Embassy is not reviewing or is backlogged in K1, so I think we have a good few months before going in for interview. She is going to apply to get a new passport through the required procedure in her home country.

Question: Is there any specific update or procedure required from our end for the K1 process with respect to the new passport?

I am a US citizen who married my wife in India on September 2020. I filed for CR-1 petition online with priority date in mid October 2020.

for evidence of relationship, I included the marriage certificate, 2 affidavits showing authenticity of marriage, some marriage and relation photos, and the marriage invitation card.

I was not able to find any bills with same name, and am having a hard time making a bank account with joint name since my spouse has never entered the US.

However, in the coming months, it may be possible for me to provide more such as taxes filed jointly and credit card name added.

My question is, is it possible to upload these documents online even once my file has received NOA1? I know there s an additional documents section where it is possible to upload. I don t believe that they have looked at my file yet and I fear that I may not have enough evidence for them to approve my file. Please advise.

Can we expect normal Direct Consular Filing for I-130s to resume under Biden in 2021?

Currently it is only under special circumstances and that too processed by the state dept.

As a lot of the USCIS international field offices have permanently been closed under Pres. Trump.

I applied to renew my I-131 reentry permit for 2 years as my current document will expire.

My application was received at the Arizona Lockbox on November 28th. The check has not yet been cashed.

Can anyone advice on how long it is taking for USCIS to schedule biometrics for reentry permit?

Biometrics were done in 3 weeks when I applied for reentry permit in 2019

I called USCIS and told them I need to leave the country on Dec 31 for my job. They said they are not able to do biometrics at an infopass appointment and I just need to wait 30 days before calling back. Any advice?

Are they any circumstances wherein it is required, or advisable that the spouse attend the N400 interview? I filed under the 5-year rule and there is a chance that my interview might get scheduled (whenever that happens!) at the Memphis office. That is where I had my AOS interview. It is an extremely inconvenient office for me to go to since it is a 6-hour one way trip, which involves an overnight stay. If it is not required that my wife attend, it would save her from having to take days off from work for it.

I do plan on taking all the evidence of our marriage etc... along with me but just wanted to see if there were any situations where it would be required for her to be present as well.

I'm still hopeful that the assign my case to the Nashville office, which would only be a 3-hour one way drive.
