  1. @SKMS I agree with this. I will definitely be sending an inquiry stating that the NVC has been scheduling interviews randomly. The response from Mumbai embassy will be "we don't schedule interviews.... NVC does" However in this case I believe if many of us brought up this issue then we may get some improvement and someone to look into this for us. I will be addressing my query to the consulate general and demanding an answer as a taxpaying citizen.
  2. When are you DQ? We are DQ Jan 10, 2022 and there has been virtually no progress made since April. In April, due to the speed in which people were being interviewed, we thought we would be getting interview in 2 weeks. It has been 4 months since and I am not sure how long this will continue. I am wondering if we can raise the issue to Consul general or anyone in charge at the Mumbai embassy? I believe they need to do at least 250 interviews a month to keep in track with the developing backlog. However they are interviewing only 100-150 and this is all the converted F2a to IR1 cases...
  3. My theory is that F2A to IR1 are being converted at NVC and when Mumbai embassy tells the NVC “we need the next x number of people in IR1 category” they pick the converted cases since those are DQ the earliest in line. As a consequence, there is virtually no movement to the main CR1/IR1 categories. I worry this will keep happening for long time. Is there anything we can do to let the embassy or consul general know if this issue? The only solution here would be to interview more than 150-200 per month which they have been doing for a while.
  4. I know June is most likely filled because some folks got interviews in CR1/IR1 category for the month of July. These folks were mostly converted LPR cases (those petitioners who filed as permanent resident but became US citizens). These folks have received interviews till July 7th. The reports in the links above also show there were MANY CR1/IR1 interviews done in Feb/March/April/May 2022. However I have not heard many get interviews in month of June and once this report comes out for June it will be obvious. I believe we are still waiting on July to fill up as more July interviews will come. My hope is they pick it back up in July and continue the momentum from Dec 2021 DQ onwards.
  5. My CR1 case is DQ on Jan 7, 2022. No interview yet and desperately waiting. My understanding is in April they scheduled interviews for people DQ from Oct to Dec 12, 2021. And then all of a sudden it stopped and there has been no word since. As mentioned above some folks were skipped from 2020/2021 and they did get interviews last week. But July is filling up fast for interviews so my hope is August interview which is 8 months after DQ. So whoever says the backlog is cleared it is not true. Pre pandemic the wait used to be 3-4 months post DQ for interview at Mumbai.
