Meeting face to face - Two year rule?

Hey Folks,

This particular thought just came to me last night and has been bugging me ever since. I last saw my Fianc in Feb 2020, when I was in the US for three weeks. We have met three times before that visit. We submitted the petition in December 2020 and I got my NOA2 last month. I am not sure when the case will be forwarded to the embassy and when I might be able to schedule the interview. My fear is that, if I get an Interview date after February 2022, Would I be in Violation of the two year face to face meeting rule? Or does the rule apply for when submitting the petition?

We were supposed to meet this year in June, but it didn't happen due to the second wave of Covid in India, that hit us this March. This resulted in many European/Asian countries and US/Canada restricting travel or banning travel altogether to/from India. The restrictions are still in place. And most of the countries do not allow tourists at the moment. We will be writing to his local Congresswoman in Dallas requesting an exception to travel but I am not sure if that will help. Is anyone in the same boat? Do we need some kind of a waiver?

Below is the tiny list of countries where Indians are allowed without Quarantine, but I do not feel safe meeting there at the moment. Any help is appreciated.

Hello everyone. I am far away from the naturalisation process. But I must take an important decision in the next 6 months which might effect my naturalisation process. I'd be grateful for your inputs here. Right now I am adjusting status from K1 visa.

1) I am applying to go to law school from 2022 - 2025. I will be doing my JD which is for 3 years. I live in the NYC metropolitan area. There are good schools here but I have my heart set on a couple of schools which are not in NJ or NY. Which would mean that for the 3 years I'm in law school, I'll not be living with my husband, even though my husband's address will remain my permanent address on bank accounts and credit cards etc.

2) The eligibility criteria for naturalisation says - If you are at least 18 years old and: Are currently married to and living with a U.S. citizen; and Have been married to and living with that same U.S. citizen for the past 3 years; and Your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the past 3 years.

I want to naturalise at the earliest because there are some jobs which is only open to USC and I can't apply for them if I'm older than 37 at the time. So my question is how is the part I underlined above interpreted? Are there any exceptions for this living together part?

Hello,

I came to the US on an L 1 last year through ZenCode Jaipur and my wife has arrived recently on L 2. My attorney informed me that it could take some time before her EAD comes.

Is there any way to get a bridging permit for work or do we just have to wait it out?

Hi there,
i filed I-130 as a citizen for my brother back in 2005, and he was approved in 2009. I moved in between, didnt get the notice, or any other correspondence. How can I find out NVC status?

I emailed USCIS a week ago with the USCIS case/recipient # and received confirmation of my brother's I-130 approval, and USCIS said the following below. Question, do I need to pay USCIS $465 to file I-824 "Application for Action on an Approved Application" or can I 'pick-up' with NVC and go from there?

Their response:

What We Have Done
We approved your Form I-130 petition on November 10, 2009, and sent it to the U.S. Department of State
National Visa Center (NVC). You will need to inform the NVC in writing of your change of address.

You may write to the NVC at:
National Visa Center
Attn: WC
31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 200
Portsmouth, NH 03801-2915

At a minimum, please include the following:
*Copy of the Form I-130 petition approval notice with the name of the beneficiary.

If you need a copy of your approval notices, you will need to file Form I-824, Application for Action on an
Approved Application or Petition, with filing fee.
