Hi all! Does anyone have any recent experience with scheduling interview appointments at the Hong Kong consulate (specifically the IV unit)? I have been trying to book a slot for my K1 visa for the past 2 weeks and have been getting "No slots available" so far, and wanted to see if that's just me or perhaps they haven't opened any slots for February-March just yet?

Part 5.a in the N400 - how to answer? When spouse became a citizen

Hi, I'm preparing my application for the N400 and there's a part that asks that doesn't seem to apply to my partner:

5.a When did your spouse become a U.S. Citizen?

[ ] By birth in the United States

[ ] Other - complete Item number 5.b

5.b Date your current spouse became a US Citizen - ____________

He was born outside the US but became a citizen when his parents naturalized before he turned 18. He's a derivative citizen and doesn't have a 'date' where he 'naturalized.' How do we answer this? I'm also just looking at the real form - we're filing online - and I'm wondering if this question also appears in the online form?

THANK YOU!

I-751 Case Issue: Receipt Notice was not received in the mail

Hi all.

I'm dealing with an annoying issue. My conditional green card expires on 11/06/2025. I put in for removal of conditions on 08/11/2025. I have an online account and I can find the Receipt Notice I-797C, Account Acceptance Notice and Appointment Scheduled Notice there. I also received those notices in the mail, except for the I-797C containing the 48 months extension. I do need this original notice for work as well as travel.

I got in touch with USCIS several times. Initially they told me to contact LockboxSupport. I did, but they replied saying they don't print notices and to contact the center processing my application.

I started a case for Non-Delivery of Document requesting they send me a copy of the I-797C on 10/03/2025. Yesterday (10/22/2025) I received the following reply

The status of this service request is:

You or your representative contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) about the non-delivery of your extension notice.

The local field office can provide you with temporary proof of your resident status. If you are need of temporary proof of your resident status, please request an appointment to receive an ADIT stamp. You may contact the USCIS Contact Center for an ADIT stamp appointment at 1 (800) 375-5283.

This is not what I am looking for so I called USCIS again today and the agent told me a Notice was sent to me in the mail and returned back to them as non-delivered. I find that hard to believe since I never moved from this address and I received all other notices. She said she can see my non-delivery request but that they will not issue another receipt and that my only option is to get an ADIT stamp.

Has anyone else experienced this and successfully managed to receive a copy of the I-797C in the mail? Any tips or suggestions?

“No Slots Available” when scheduling interview at the Consulate

Hi guys. Our k1 visa application is now at the final stage of scheduling an interview appointment with the local consulate after receiving the email from them this week telling us to proceed to schedule interview.

I have filled in my information and paid the fees in the system however we are not able to see the available dates on the scheduling page. Every time we check, it just says No Slots Available and has been like this way for 3 days. I called the consulate CS and they only told me to keep checking the page until there are available slots, and there s nothing else they could provide to help. Additionally, I have filed a feedback on the system raising this issue and now the feedback status just updated to Escalate to PMO (not quite sure what it means).

Well we will continue to check everyday and hopefully there are slots released very soon as we hope to complete the interview in early October but it looks like the slots are released randomly and we have to be always on the lookout.

Has anyone encountered similar situation when scheduling the appointment with the local consulate? Could you please share some of your experience with this ?
