Hey everyone! This is more of a "what would you do if you were me" question as I need some advice to come up with a plan.
I applied for naturalization under 319(b), did my biometrics, and made a huge mistake of not calling the military helpline to help me speed up the process. I keep beating myself up for it but what's done is done and I already moved to Germany on military orders. I changed my address - had to put APO as it would not accept an address outside the US.
I am aware I will have to fly to the US for my interview/oath and that's when I am a bit lost on what to do.
1. Can I change the processing field office and if so, how would I do that?
2. Which field office would allow me to do the interview and oath on the same day or at least the oath the next day? I heard that Washington D.C. is pretty good about it.
3. Is there any way to change my phone number on the submitted application? I had my US number on there but we just switched to a German provider.
4. Should I still request to expedite the process? I am pregnant, have a little one already, have a job and I am worried that they would schedule it for a month I would be too pregnant to fly.
5. I am also playing with the idea of withdrawing this application and submitting a new one from overseas. Would this be smart at all?
Thank you to whoever responds! I will appreciate any input!
