US Immigration from France

Good afternoon all,

I applied for naturalization about 3 months ago under the 3-year rule since I married a US citizen. It now appears that my wife might be looking for a separation in the weeks/months to come, most likely before my N-400 would be processed. My understanding is that as long as we were living in marital union at the time of filing (which we were) and remain married until the oath of allegiance is taken, I would be in the clear. Is that correct? We are in rather good terms and she is willing to remain married until after the oath of allegiance.

Should the separation materialize, would you recommend I inform USCIS of the separation prior to the interview? If not, should I start the interview by mentioning it so that they do not think I am being deceptive?

I was just wondering if you have any idea on how long it takes typically to receive the interview notice by mail after the online status changes to "Interview was scheduled "?
Also I talked to an agent on the online chat who told me I could find the notice on My Uscis portal, but I don't see anything, do you have any idea where to find this by any chance ?

Hi everyone,

I am currently completing the DS260 form for the NVC where they ask for my address history. I am French and currently in Mexico on a tourist visa. I have been in Mexico for a little over 6 months just as a tourist. I'm still currently domiciled in France. I guess my question is, does the NVC view it this way or they would consider that me being in Mexico for that long is basically residing here and therefore I'll have to provide a police clearance from here ?
