Hi, I know there was someone asking the same question recently but just curious if there are any more recent cases given that the Paris Embassy has been posting reduced wait times.

Anyone working / applying through the US Embassy in Paris, how long after being DQ'd by NVC did you receive your letter with interview date? Also how long after was your interview scheduled at?

This is for IR-1 Spousal Visa - Consular Processing. Thanks in advance!

Hi the community !

Yesterday was a great day i received the instructions email from US embassy in Bern (just switch from Paris to Bern Switzerland super smooothly).

I created an account on the Switzerland Visa demand website and added my informations, followed the instructions, once all my infos were in the system i was asked to pay the MRV fees ( I repeat on the Switzerland USA Visa demand website).

Two payments options Wire transfer or Cash deposit, i choose to pay with a wire transfer and used the USA Embassy bank informations provided by the website with my unique CGI number!

Once payment was done and documents were dated and signed i sent them back by email.

This morning i woke up and the Swiss Embassy is telling me that i paid the MRV fees in the USA Embassy in Paris ???????

How is that possible? The bank infos were in Switzerland, my bank is telling me that they send the money to an account in Zurich Switzerland and on top of that i send a proof of payment to the Embassy in Bern by email.

Nevertheless i paid in euros with my French bank and normally within couples days they received the amount in their own currency i guess?

Do you guys think that they have a unique bank in Europe that is receiving all the embassies payments in the area?

They pretty much telling me that they will ask Washington to get the fees move to Bern, but if not i will have to pay again..

Has anyone ever heard of such a situation?

My guess is that they havent got the money yet, and because in my proof of payment (in Euros) they assumed that it will go automatically to Paris because I have a French account.

It has been almost two f . Years that we started the k-1 process like a bunch of you guys an it s exhausting and frustrating

Thanks guys !

Hi guys!

One week after our I-717 has been received and assigned to YSC, we received the waiver for the biometrics for my daughter on October 19 (still waiting to get news for mine). And then, last Tuesday, we received another notice, with her biometrics appointment letter for next Tuesday... does it make sense, no I don't think so... First waiver, and now appointment notification one week before the date... lucky us that we're in town!

Did it already happen to one of you? And if that's the case, did you bring the 2 notices to the appointment?

Thank you!

Mistake on I130 (split)

Hi all,

Asking for a friend. Did you have to pay $485 for the I824 ?

She has to send this form because there was a mistake on her I130. USCIS didn't know where they had to send her application (NVC). So they requested her to send the I824 and she did it and it was rejected today because they didn't pay the fees.

Do you think that's normal to pay that amount of money just to tell USCIS "hey send my application to the NVC" ?

That's not fair !

Thank you for your help

In the DS160 form, should I enter travel companions information if they have a valid ESTA?

Hello,

I will be studying for a semester in the US, I am filling out the DS160 form so that I can apply for my J1 visa. However I am not sure about what I should do at the Travel Companions Information step. My father, who already has a valid ESTA, is going to accompany me to help me during the first few days, but will return to France after a week. Should I enter his information at this step of the DS160 even if he has his ESTA? Thanks a lot in advance for the help.

Sincerely,

Adam
