US Immigration from Finland

I know this is something to ask from a lawyer but maybe someone here has actual information regarding this issue.

I am currently waiting for my EAD and I was contacted by a company on Instagram who wants to send me free clothes. They said they label them as gifts and don t expect anything other in return than if I choose to wear the clothes in my own Instagram posts, they would have a permission to share my pictures on their own Instagram account. I am mostly concerned whether this could be interpreted as work since basically I would be modeling for their products and the compensation for that would be those free items, even if I would primarily just wear the clothes in my own posts that I don t get any money from. Since the company would be sharing my pictures to promote their products there is an expectation from the company that I would be doing something in return for the items, which means that the gift is actually not a gift anymore in the eyes of the IRS.

Please note that I am not an influencer who would make any money with their current content. I m just posting stuff that the company s target audience follows so they were interested in sending me their clothes. I actually turned down their offer and said that I would contact them once I have my EAD because now it looks like we would be operating on a very grey area. I am too scared to risk anything for some free items but would like to know if someone had had first hand experience with a similar situation.

Well here goes my story:

My husband and I sent our i-751 out a few weeks ago. We received a i-797, but now we're just a little confused and would like to hear some of your feed backs to see if we're on the right track. On the notice that they sent, it just states that my conditional resident status has been extended for another 24 months, and doesn't really state much on anything else. It mentions info about *being out of the states and what to do*, then it says processing time may vary by case, and nothing further. My husband and I are a little confused if this is it..... did we just pay $680 for another 24 month extension only? If so, that would be a burden to be paying nearly $700 every 2 years...

we tried to look up the status online, but it doesnt help either. It simply stated "please follow the instructions in the notice. If you have any questions, contact the USCIS Contact Center at www.uscis.gov/contactcenter. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address." But the notice letter didnt provide any instructions at all.

Wondering if you guys had the same vague notice letter. Any information is appreciated. Thank you

Hi there, soo was just wondering if anyone had issues scheduling the k1 visa interview after paying the last 265$ fee . I thought I'd be able to do it after taking care of it apparently not.. still can't do it because 'there are no appointments available' so maybe it's just the site but still

My fiancee came to the States this month and we just got married nearly 3 weeks ago. Our marriage certificate writes her maiden last name only. However, she wished to change her last name to mine, hence she filed for a social security number and get her last name changed before filing for AOS. Is this the correct way to do this? Our application for her SSN card was sent one week ago but she has not heard anything yet from the Social Security Office. How long would we have to wait for her to have an appointment for her SSN card? We are based in North Carolina by the way.

First, i like to apologize to everyone if this question has been posted before, but please help me out. i could not get a hold of any USCIS agents through the phone. I'm due for a I-751 soon and I'm trying to assemble all the necessary documents and fees. I downloaded the form off the uscis website, but the date is expired as of 12/31/2019. Can we still use this form? I dont want any problems. On the instructions, my spouse is supposed to file this form with me. However, it doesnt provide adequate/clear instructions about the filing fee at all. Do we both have to submit a filing fee of $595 + $85 for each of our forms? Or is it just one fee of $595 + $85 for both our applications. Any other important things that i missed? Please let us know, thank you guys so much.
