I know we are still far off to preparing to interview, but I saw a post in facebook about listing your social media accounts during the application for D160. So it made me think about me and fianc 's case. I (petitioner) use FB and IG, however, my fianc (beneficiary) does not. Will that affect the chance in getting the approval?

I'm about to file I-130 for my spouse, but reading through the form it asks if I had a naturalization certificate and since I'm a naturalized citizen I was granted one when I was sworn in 5 years ago but I can't find it although I used it to get my US passport right after I acquired my citizenship. Do I need to get a replacement? Or should a copy of the biographic page of my passport do it? And if so what should I write to explain that?

I got recently naturalized and I am applying for my mom IR5.

Going through the documents I have, I realized that my mother's full name was not included on my birth certificate. They way names work in my country is that the middle name is actually the name of person's father, grandfather, greater grandfather.

So her name in her birth certificate, national ID & her passport is her first name, name of her father, grandfather, greater grandfather and finally her Family name

On my birth certificate, what is included is only her name, name of her father, grandfather.

To make things worse, I checked her marriage certificate and realized that they omitted her family name but included the rest.

We applied to correct her name on my birth certificate, but that will take some time.

My question is that can I apply for her with the birth certificate I have on hand and with her passport showing her full name and include one of the names as an alternative name used before? I can upload my new birth certificate reflecting her full name once that is produced at a later time point. Or would that get us an RFE immediately?

Appreciate any advice.

Will we be denied the visa if the applicant can't get the police clearance report from Syria because he left the country without serving in the military? They are refusing to give him any official documents of any kind because he left without serving. However, he has two other police reports from the two other countries he lived in after leaving Syria.

The case date in the USCIS processing time, is it the receipt date or the NOA1?
