Hello Everyone! I guess I'm here more so reaching out in hopes to find a support group of my fellow petitioners for their partners/fianc 's in DR. My fianc and I begun our journey last May and as everyone is clearly aware, we are still amidst a pandemic. We never thought just how long this whole process would take and have known other couple whom have gone through the process and from start to finish took them about 6-8 months. I have been with my fianc for over two years now and last year, a few months after he proposed, we decided to start this K1 visa journey. Our case was accepted last May and we just received an RFE on January 4th and returned our evidence earlier this month. We anticipate we may have a decision by the end of March with any luck but are not holding our breath so to speak. We know there are so many other couples out there going through our same struggles and would just like to know and maybe compare knowledge about everything going on with the Embassy closures and this K1 Visa process during the Pandemic! I look forward to hearing from many of you! God Bless.

We just got our interview scheduled and I am waiting on the notice now. My husbands first language is Spanish. Even though he can hold his own I would rather be safe than sorry. Who can be a translator? Aren't there co-vid precautions? TIA

My family has an emergency in the Dominican Republic and I bought my mother who is a permanent resident a plane ticket just to find out that her foreign password is expired (Not her permanent resident card, but her passport) and her flight is schedule for May 3, 2021. Have tried to contact the Dominican Consulate with no luck. Called the Airline and they said that passport must be up to date. What are my options in his situation?

Hello everyone! I will start to prepare my package this month to remove conditions on my green card. Do not forget to include the two passport photos in your packages. Two passport-style photos for each petitioner and dependent, regardless of age. The passport photos must be color photographs. The photos must have a white to off-white background, be printed on thin paper with a glossy finish, and be unmounted and unretouched. Passport-style photos must be 2 x 2 . The photos must be in color with full face, frontal view on a white to off white background. Your head must be bare unless you are wearing headwear as required by a religious denomination of which you are a member. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and Alien Registration Number (A-Number) (if any) on the back of the photo.

Good afternoon, my case was expedited and approved, and I have my interview scheduled for February 9, 2021. On my last years taxes (2019) I did not make the required income for the affidavit of support but, for the year 2020 I got a new job so with both incomes I was able to meet the required income but, on my nvc notes it says I do not meet the required income to sponsor the immigrant. For the members on the affidavit of support I listed my two children, ex husband which I also sponsored, my niece, my husband, and me. This year I will not claim my niece because I moved and she does not live with me, so for the interview should I take a new affidavit of support form and explain there are less members now because I won't be filling with my niece this year and will that help meet the income?
