Hi!

I am CR1, DR Embassy, approved by NVC in August 2020.

I know that due to Covid issues, the consular services are not working normally, someone here from Dominican Republic who after having the approval of the NVC received an appointment date without being an emergency?

we were waiting for the arrival of our letter for the Interview for the AOS, last time I checked the website it said that the interview is ready to be scheduled and that the letter will be mailed. We kept waiting for the letter, and this morning a letter of denial arrived. It said we were denied because we failed to appear at the Interview, but we never received the Interview letter. What should we do next? the letter said if it is an error, to file to reopen the case? or should I contact my Senator or Representative, I read someplace to schedule an infopass appointment. I am worried and stressed out we have a 3 month old I do not want my husband to get deported because of an error. pleas eif someone can help me figure out what I need to do.

My husband and I had all of our forms and fees accepted from the NVC in September and we have been waiting to get an interview scheduled since then. Our interview will be in Santo Domingo, DR. Does anyone know of a timeline that we could follow? Also, do I (the petitioner) need to be present for the interview? Thanks!
