I'm at the very last stages of filling out our packet, and the last box I need to fill is Page 8, Part 5, #4. I previously sponsored my now ex-wife; I don't have anything from that petition saved, and have had basically no contact with her for years. It's asking what day I filed her petition, over a decade ago; by going over old emails, I figured out approximately when, but don't have an exact date. If I just put month and year and leave the days X'ed out or with question marks (05/XX/2009 or 05/??/2009, for example), would that be acceptable? I really don't want to contact her and would rather just keep communication lines down. I'm currently on hold with USCIS to try to speak to an agent; it's been an hour and I'm concerned I won't be able to get ahold of anyone.

My wife has had a B2 visa since 2017; we traveled to the US twice. Now, we are in the US, and want to file for an AOS. She filled out the DS-160 online at the time that she got her B2, and it seems she didn't save the PDF. We had a printed copy of it, which, of all the documents we gathered and triple checked, she left behind in China. I'm not able to log into the State Department page because she doesn't remember the answer to her security question. And of course, all of this is my fault... In filling out the I-485, she watched a video in Mandarin, in which the creator warned that if the answers on your DS-160 and I-485 don't match up - "even if one letter is off" - it will make "big problems" and you will be rejected. She's now panicking because we can't access the DS-160, and she doesn't remember how she phoneticized our Chinese address, or whether she put the English or Chinese name of our business, whether she put her parents' names as two or one word, etc. Is this true? It seems a bit heavy-handed to me, so I'm disinclined to believe it.

I'm filling out the I-130 for my spouse (me: US citizen, her: Chinese national). We moved back to the US a few months ago, and I took a job in late July; I'm currently employed and am above the threshold to support her and my daughter. In filling out the I-130, it asks for employment history for 5 years. I wasn't employed legally in China as I was on a family reunion (Q1) visa there, and in China, family/spouse visas don't allow you to work. We had a business in China, which I worked at, but it was in my wife's name due to their business legal structure. I'm not sure whether I should put down that I spent 5 years unemployed since that was my legal status and I didn't pay any taxes in China or the US, or I should put that I was involved in the business. My wife will be putting down that she was the owner of the business on her I-485.

My wife and I have everything ready to submit our online I-130 but I am struggling to really be sure what address to list as my current mailing address. All of my US based mail comes to my mother's house in the USA so certainly I can list that and she will receive it. However, it won't be much use to me if there is something I need to do with the mail since I haven't been there in nearly 2 years. If it will only be communication (which my mother can pass along to me) and I won't need to physically have said documents then that's fine. Otherwise, should I list my physical address in China? Thanks for the advice on this. We want to get it right and also relocate to the US as quickly as possible.
