US Immigration from Brazil

Hi guys,

So I'm about to become a US citizen and will then have two passports with two different first names. During the citizenship process, I changed my first name. So, in my Brazilian passport I am Thiago and in my US passport I'm Pierre. When booking a trip between America and Brazil to go visit family, which passport do I use to book tickets and which do I show at the airport when I depart and upon arrival? Anyone has a similar background? Thank you!

We re debating on joining given the cost, but we wanted to ask you all if it may be a good idea to join it. We are applying from Brazil and would like to know if it s a good idea. Hi -- Hoping to expedite my I-129F (I'm the petitioner). Has anyone had experience with filing an expedite request as an employee of the US national security apparatus (DOD, DHS, NNSA, etc.)? I am a mission-critical employee with chronic illness/disability that has been exacerbated by separation from my fianc . I'm not active military.

My thought was that because some petitioners who are essential healthcare employees with health conditions exacerbated by separation from their fianc s have had success in expediting their applications under "compelling public safety or national security interests," it may be possible to try this with the "national security" part of that sentence. Any input on this? I'll talk to a lawyer about it soon, but thought you all might have some ideas, or know of cases where this was done successfully. Or may be able to tell me this is hopeless, lol. Thank you.

Frustrating situation described in title.

My wife and I will go to an in-person appointment to apply for her ITIN in a couple of weeks. However, we need to bring our 1040 form ready to file WITH her ITIN application. To complete the 1040 form, we need her ITIN! As you can tell, this situation is very aggravating.

Putting all 0's or all one number for her SSN/ITIN is rejected by all the tax software I've tried. I put my own SSN but I have a feeling this won't fly with the IRS.

What should I put in lieu of her SSN/ITIN on the 1040? Thanks!

My Date of birth is 1995 in school certificate,passport. but in uscis 1994. can i change date of birth now?
