 Couldn't be happier today =) We went to the Santa Ana office...not the easiest one to find, by the way, many thanks to Mapquest

We didn't stay there for very long, actually. Imma list the details before I forget:

Officer called hubby's name, and then led us to her office

She swore us in, and then proceeded with the niceties (g'morning, how're you)

She asked hubby details about himself--name, current address, social, mom and pops' names, current occupation (he said none at the moment since we were waiting for EAD, she nodded approvingly), birth date, birth place, wife's name

Then she ran through the usual questions about gambling, conspiring against the US, helping illegal aliens, having been registered to vote, etc. 'Course those were all no's

She asked hubby what his number was, clarified whether it was mobile or home phone, asked him who the carrier was

Asked the same information from me, and then asked if we were in a shared plan--I said yes. She asked since when, and I said since he got here last Oct 2006

She asked hubby when we got married

She asked me to tell her how we met, and then asked me how we became a couple and how we eventually got engaged

She asked me when I filed the K-1 petition

Then she told us to give her a stack of evidence to show that we live together--we gave her the usual (bank accounts, bills, renter's insurance, furniture delivery receipt addressed to both of us, wedding contract)

While going through the stack, she asked us how many guests we had at the wedding--we said 50, cuz that's all we can afford :D and really we just wanted family and close friends there

She also asked if we lived with other people in our current residence

And then I gave her our wedding invitation and Save the Date, which she kept in file

[segue: While I was preparing our stack, I asked her if she could really speak Filipino because she greeted the security officer in Filipino as we passed him on our way to her office, so we did a little small talk regarding that]

And then she said she was gonna approve our case, and that hubby's card will be here in 2 to 10 days!!!!!!

All in all, it was pretty painless. And quick! We got there at 5 before 9, and were on the freeway on the way home at 9:40. :D

She did say though that lately they've been calling people in for a second interview, maybe to check up on em or something? In any case, our binder (filed by obsessive-compulsive me) will be ready, as will we. In the meantime, I think we're gonna bask in our happiness :D

Good luck to everybody here! This forum has really helped me and my hubby a lot; I hope it stays on for the rest of the people who are going through any of the immigration processes!
