The louder the voice, the better the result I should think. We need answers & NOA2s, NOW. Anyone got any news??

My stress level is insane. :( Finally got a great new job & i'm not even happy since this K1 process has me so worried.

We need approvals ASAP so we can see if there is a method to their madness.

I think it's a bit early to be contacting Members of Congress about your petitions. Look at the timelines section and you will see that petition approvals often took many months even before IMBRA. USCIS never promised a quick turnaround...just that they will eventually get to your case!

We need to be getting approvals. CSC has not approved any post-IMBRAs on here & VSC is handing them out right & left.

CSC is not approving anyone (March-onwards) & that is unacceptable.

Sorry VivaMexico but I dont agree with you. How can it be that Vermont gets done so quick and were in limbo here. It's wrong. Were U.S. citizens that are afforded these benefits not only because it's the American way but because were tax paying citizens. I'm 120 days into this and I'm still minimum 3 months away from my fiance arriving here in America. If I was living in NYC I would already have her here with me. I've contacted my Senator also yesterday. IT'S NEVER TOO EARLY TO TALK TO YOUR SENATOR ABOUT YOUR RIGHTS AFFORDED YOU BY LAW!!!!!! And I'm a U.S. born citizen that has never used government services outside of street cleaning, law enforcement and garbage pick-up. Good luck to all of us and hammer your senators !!!!!!

16/10/2006- Interview date- I'm nervous and my fiance is cool calm and collective. And she's the one that has to do the interview.

I'm not blaming any of you for being upset. My fiancee and I were very lucky with our K1 timeline, and I know the agony many of you are going through because you are separated. I don't understand quite why Vermont is moving along and CSC is stopped, and that would frustrate me too. However you are not afforded the right to a speedy fiance visa petition approval by law. They can take 2 years to approve you if they want to, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

And I'm sure that your Members of Congress and Senators will do their best to find out the info for you, but they are not the ones you should direct your anger at. "hammering" your senators or Congressman will not help you. A polite request for help should do the trick.

I have contacted my congressman and both senators. I have received reponses from all of them. I posted the reponse from my congressman that was positive in another thread. But, then a bunch of other CSC'ers got on the thread and started saying how the response was all bullshit and how they and all of us are totally F..ked. And how much CSC sux and all that. So I won't post that again since I have decided to stay positive about the whole situtation. If you want to know what my congressman's office said hit me up with a pm and I'll tell you. My advice would be to keep hammering them until you get a response from their immigration liason, they all have one.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

As I said, your Members of Congress (their immigration staffer) will help to the extent possible. This usually does not mean they will get your case approved right away, but they can get info out of USCIS as to the reason for delays, etc. They are not miracle workers though. I work for a Congressman. If USCIS did whatever we wanted, my wife would have her greencard in hand :D
