Ok,

I will leave this one for wiser heads to figure out; I know it is something to do with how sequences of numbers form certain patterns - but I am too lazy to really try and work out the details. That doesn't mean it isn't impressive, because it is . . .

I think it has to do with process of elimination? The program runs possibilities based on your "last number" entered? The program would know how many digits you chose based on that. That would give the possibilities and come up with the missing number. ?? Thats basically what you said.. Im lazy too lol

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Hmm, well, it worked when I did it. It got the number I circled correct at the end ie

100-001=99; circle one of the numbers and not a zero; the number that is circled is "9"

I also tried 100-010=90; circle one of the numbers and not a zero; the number that is circled is "9".

It got the 9 both times.

Has to do with 9.

When you jumble up the digits of your 4 digit number and subtract the smaller number, your answer's always a multiple of 9.

So in order to get the right answer, all you have to do is program the game to do the math for you and find the "missing" number after you enter the digits other than the one you circled.

I entered 8634 - 8346. 288, circled 2, so 8+8=16. Closest multiple of 9 is 18 so add 2. Tada!
