Timeline

I had my interview yesterday afternoon. I was scheduled for 7.30 a.m. and I guess my judgment was wrong in arriving 6.45 a.m. because the place was packed and I had to wait long to get my number.

*Screening

The Filipina screener was nice. She just asked who is my petitioner, how we met and when was the last time we saw each other and a couple of personal questions that are easy to answer. She only requested for the usual documents:

1. NSO BC

2. Cenomar

3. NBI Clearance

4. Affidavit of Support

5. Tax Forms

6. Pictures

* Consul Interview

A female consul interviewed me. She was very nice and friendly. She asked how we met, have I met his family, do I plan to work immediately and she did a bit of small talk about the weather and my fiance.

*I think it's better to go early so you wont have to wait until the lunch break is over. Also bring in cookies or water if you think you easily get hungry. I saw some people with biscuits and water with them. I'm just not sure if they just sneaked it in or it's allowed.

*Don't worry too much. They're just confirming the information you sent them :) If you have the necessary documents to prove your genuine relationship

you'll be fine. Always smile, it breaks barriers :)
