My case was approved on October 23. NVC still claims they know nothing about it. Today a guy on the phone told me to mail in a copy of NOA2. He also told me not to include any cover sheets or things like that. Have anyone heard of doing this before?

Vjer Edp333 was appoved that week too (I think the same day), he followed up with USCIS. Since NVC had not received it, they couldn't do anything about it there. He convinced USCIS to send it out again. I think he got his congressman involved too. Eventually, it got to NVC, 11/16 I think. You miught want to call USCIS.

Our case was approved September 21 and it wasn't received at the NVC until November 6th. Every time I called to check the status, someone at the NVC told me I had to wait at least 90 days and then they would research it. It seems that you've waited about the same amount of time we have. I bet you'll get something from them any day now!

Well, it's not over 2 months for me...yet  And IMHO averages don't really matter because deviation is so high :(

Jenya,

Sorry to hear about your delay. I called the 800 USCIS number and used the option for cases already approved. I believe this is option 1. The agent told me they needed to wait a month, which you have surpassed already, and put in an expedite request. The date the agent told me I would get a decision was the date NVC forwarded our petition.

I had also contacted my Federal Senator who has been in office the longest. The Senate has a commitee for the Department of State, which NVC is a part of. .The Senator's representative confirmed our petition had been forwarded.

I hope it goes well and you will not hae anymore delays.

Don't worry too much.... really. The wait was 6-8 weeks for March filers (the last batch of approvals), but has been coming down ever since. It stands at a couple of weeks right now. Of course there are deviations, like Edp333, and Jenya.

I just called NVC and the guy told me that for I-129F it goes directly to the consulate bypassing NVC. Is this even remotely possible? Or is he just an idiot?

That's not true the I-129F does go to the NVC but doesn't stay there long. They say to give it 90 days before it is received from USCIS but in most cases they should have it within 30 days and you should get an approval letter in the mail by NVC around this time with the embassy name that the I-129F was forwarded to. The I-129 does not bypass NVC( I don't see how people can work at these places and give us wrong information I mean aren't they required to know what they are talking about I don't know it seems like they don't have to).

I called the NVC today and they told me they still have not received my petitions and to call USCIS, so I called USCIS and told them it has been 35 days since they approved my petitions and they told me it can take 30-60 days for them to send approved petitions! That is just so crazy to me!! Come on USCIS it took almost 190 days for you guys to approve my petitions and now you are saying it can take you another 60 days just to send it to NVC!! How much more hell are they going to put us through just so we can be reunited with our loved ones!! I'm so angry right now I am crying and I feel like screaming!! I thought that once the USCIS approves my petitions that things would finally start moving again but of course it takes them forever to mail a piece of paper!! USCIS just loves to keep us in their claws for as long as they can so they can watch us squirm and suffer!! :crying:

Jenya,

Do you think it was because of getting it entered into the NVC or the delay from CSC getting it there? CSC has not even updated the website on our approved applications. The website shows pending.. Brilliant work from USCIS!! Best of luck to you and soon you will be united with your spouse..
