Binder with proof of Bonafide

My wife will have her interview on 12/24/2007, and I was wondering how to arrange a binder with all the documentation pertaining to our case. Since NVC already sent all original documents to the Embassy, I guess I only need proof of Bonafide Marriage.

The way I am putting everything together is as follows:

1) Photos of our wedding with family and friends

2) Telephone, emails, and IM, records

3) Remittances sent

4) Times when I visited my wife in Nicaragua

That's all I can think of right now. I will appreciate, if you have any more comments, or suggestions.

The order doesn't matter. I recommend separating and labeling each section so that its easy for your wife to find everything. Also, eventhough you NVC transfered your original documents. I also included a copy of our original application in the binder for my husband when he had his K1 interview.

Claudeth put all our documentation in a binder with divider tabs so it made it easy to look up each document type.

It seems to me like we need some of the same info all over again for the interview, does it seem that way to anyone else? If we already sent photos (and other evidence) along with our I129f, does that mean we won't need to produce them again for the interview?

K1

06/28/07 Sent I129F to VSC

07/02/07 I129F Recieved

07/06/07 NOA1 sent

07/10/07 Touched

11/28/07 TOUCH! (Is it in the mail now?!?!)

11/28/07 (later that same day!...) got email notification of APPROVAL! NOA2 should be in the mail! YAY!

11/29/07 Touch.. Maybe they're just looking at it to get it ready to mail to NVC?

11/30/07 Receive NOA2 in the mail : APPROVED!

12/07/07 Receive letter from NVC with case number, saying packet on it's way to Oz

12/12/07 Aussie embassy receives info

12/13/07 Embassy mails out packet 3

12/20/07 My sweetie receives packet 3

01/23/08 Medical Exam in Brisbane (apparently the only doctor within 1,200 miles that does these exams anymore. The doctor in Cairns no longer does them!) My sweetie already mailed back packet 3 prior to the exam so that we could save a bit of time.

02/18/08 Receive packet 4, after they mistakenly mailed a pack for an entirely different person to my Aussie! He returned the packet for the other guy and then finally received his own packet.

02/22/08 Consolate Interview: APPROVED! (It went "smooth like butter")

03/20/08 Flight to USA, POE = LAX

AOS and EAD

06/19/08 Mailed out AOS packet (Chicago) along with EAD

06/24/08 NOA 07/18/08 Biomentrics appt.

07/24/08 RFE

12/15/08 EAD approved, card ordered

Yeah, it is mostly the same info (just incase part of the application is missing at the interview). But in other ways its different. For the I-129F you sent in photos, plane tickets, etc. Which prove that you meet at least once within the last 2 years. The evidence at the interview (photos, call logs, etc.) is meant to show that your relationship has continued over time since you submitted the I-129F up until your fiance's interview.

It also depends on the embassy.. I know that Nigeria's embassy for example, has a small space between the counter and window (like at a bank) in which they accept documents. Most people who arranged binders had to take everything apart to shove it in that slot. Sometimes the person receiving the documents would say no it doesn't fit and wouldn't accept them at all. Don't take that chance. Organization is good but not if it costs you the opportunity to present your case.

You should also take copeis of everything you have sent in G-325, I-864, DS-230. All certified or orginal paperwork and a photocopy of each, such as Birth Cert. Marriage Cert. Police report, Divorce decrees if that applies. You also need proof of income: last years tax return and recent pay stubs or a letter from your employer if affidavit of support is based on your income.
