I tip 15%-20% for restaurants and more if I have been particularly annoying  or the service was above and beyond. My hairdresser does not accept tips, so I always bring her food or bottled water to have in her shop.

I ain't tipping 100

At the grocery shop I tip 2 when they bag and take to the car and help me. When I'm buying just a few items i don't usually tip. yesterday I put 0.50 at the girl's tipping box.

15% in restaurants. Less if the service is #######.

$5 for a haircut, tho I do my own now. I imagine women tip more, unless you also go to Supercuts and get it done for $11.

Never thought to tip in hotels.

Nothing for grocery baggers. I bag my own.

Don't think I tipped my tattoo artist either.

Couple of $$ for a cab ride.

I'm pretty cheap, tho.

I tip more or less depending on the service.

Usually about 20% for restaurants (but not take-out). When I was in HS I used to work at a grocery stores - it was common for people to give me a buck or two for taking out their groceries.

My sister is a HUGE tipper - gives up to a $25 tip for a hair cut and way more for a tattoo.

I have a student who works at an $$$$$ hotel in Disney and she makes a lot in tips. I didn't know people gave so much for that.

Another guy I know told me that he once received a $100 tip from one guy - he's a tour guide.

My baseline is 15%, if the service is better it goes up and if it was below average it goes down

that's the standard, 15% and up or down depending on service. i usually go 15-20, the tip nosedives if i can't get a refill drink in a reasonable amount of time.

I tipped less than $2 for my husband I once...

the service was terrible and when I told the manager the reason for my tip he didn't seem to care less.

I don't tip the guy who does my hair because he's the owner. Plus, my ex used to do hair so I know how much money he's making off me anyway. I paid $120 the last time I went for probably $15 worth of product used on my hair. I'd say the extra $105 I gave him was a pretty good tip.

I always try to do 20% at restaurants. Normally less if it's a buffet. I don't tip at fast food places.

At the grocery stores here it's against the rules to give baggers tips. I've actually been a bagger and was told I couldn't accept money for taking someone's groceries to their car.

I didn't tip my tattoo artist either time I got a tattoo. Same thing with my hair dresser. That ink he put in my skin didn't cost as much as I paid him. He made plenty when I paid for the tattoo.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Restaurants for me is not a set amount. I never tip less than 10% but that is for bad service. 20% for good service. Nothing at the grocery store. Coffee shops, I will usually leave them the change from breaking a dollar bill, if I order many drinks I will leave them a dollar or two. The most important tip is the one I leave for my hairdresser, I always leave $20. She remembers that, treats me extra special when I come in.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

Hair cut: $5.00. She does my hair just right and is not afraid to cut it short when I am in the mood for spikes.

Favorite restaurant: 25-30%. We ask for the same server every time we go there. She rocks. Even the restaurant hostess remembers us and automatically gives us a table in our server's area.

Other restaurants: 15%, depending on service. We once gave only a $1.00 tip because the server assigned to our area didn't come by our table after we were seated for a good 15 mins. And we had to ask for water. And we could see her chit-chatting with someone at the cash register while we were waiting.

Dog groomer: A few bucks occasionally. Sometimes hubby and I forget to have spare cash in our wallets.

Cat sitter? Do you tip the cat sitter?

I don't see why not. It's up to you - I think that is why there isn't too much of a standard for tipping (besides for restaurants). But we know that most servers are paid less so that they'll earn their tips.

We tip pizza delivery guys (well our friends do since we don't order).

I tip the bartender so I don't have to wait and anyone else I know works hard and is paid little.
