I got my NVC case number. They told that they will despatch my application by end of this week. How long do you think it will take to reach Indian embassy?

Also I wanted some advice from you all. I want to change my interview embassy from New Delhi (India) to Chennai (India). Should I request NVC at this point or ask the New Delhi embassy to transfer the papers to Chennai embassy?

i had to switch embassies as well

i would suggest not even bothering with the nvc...i tried to stop them from sending our petition to naples, but by the time i could do anything, it was too late...the petition will not be at nvc very long (two or three days in most cases), so i would just go ahead and contact the consulate that you want your petition transferred to (Chennai)...if you contact the consulate in new delhi, they will just tell you that you need to talk to the Chennai consulate...i would email them, write a letter and also call to let them know that you would like your case transferred there...they have the right to decline your request, but in my case, the embassy in tirana was very nice and had the papers transferred right over from naples...all in all, it only put us back by a day or two

best wishes and let me know if you need any other help...oh yea, your case will probably arrive in india just a few days after it is forwarded from nvc

ok, I farked up... got my Aussie police check the other day (quicker than the UK one, which I still haven't received, despite filing for it earlier, and being able to walk down the road to do so, and not have to send halfway round the world ) but it's a non-fingerprint one, which according to the bumph in Packet 3 is 'not valid'... how the dang do I get a fingerprinted police check from a country in which I have not resided for more than three years?

obviously it can be done, so any assistance will be gratefully received... and yes, will post in the Aussie forum too

you can do it if you want...i wrote to the embassy, but when we called the embassy i would usually make adriano do it...just because im not albanian, and the people there are usually nicer to albanians...just make sure you include the beneficiaries name, your case number, and also the consulate from which you would like the case transferred
