Kneeler (disambiguation)

A kneeler is a piece of furniture used for resting in a kneeling position. :innocent: the term may also have the following meanings.

Kneeling chair, recommended for certain diseases or injuries of the backbone.

Garden kneeler, a kneeler for use during gardening

Bath kneeler, a soft pad to be placed by bathtub for kneeling while washing, e.g., a baby, see, e.g. [1]

Racing kneeler, a special sort of motorcycle, made exclusively for racing. It rides extremely low to the ground, and comes with a special sidecar (more an extension with a flat floor). For the bike to be properly ridden, a passenger must be in the sidecar, leaning with the driver to assist in turning - indeed being largely responsible for the degree of the turn and for controlling drifts.

Maurice Delafosse

Maurice Delafosse (December 20, 1870 - November 13th, 1926) was a French ethnographer and colonial official who also worked in the field of the languages of Africa. In a review of his daughter's autobiography of him he was described as "one of the most outstanding French colonial administrators and ethnologists of his time."[1] Delafosse had disagreements with the French government over the administration of French Africa, and, as a result, was "more or less banned from the colonies" for a large part of his life.[2]
