June and July Filers - NOA2 to NVC

My NOA2 was on November 20th, and my case was received at NVC on November 26th (yesterday). I found this out today when I called up to change my fiance's address, and also found out that they are sending the documents to Naples, Italy instead of Tirana, Albania.

I had a feeling this was going to happen because he currently lives in Italy, but is moving back to Albania very very soon. I requested that the documents be sent to Albania in the I-129F packet, but obviously that did no good. The woman at NVC told me that I need to submit the address change in writing and hope that the file doesn't get sent to Naples before they are able to change the address.

I wrote a letter ASAP and sent it Fedex Priority Overnight (will arrive tomorrow by 10:30am). I really hope that the docs don't get sent to Naples, because that will DEFINITELY slow us down. I have been to Naples before, and although I absolutely LOVED IT there, I definitely DO NOT want to depend on them to straighten this matter out. I hope it gets resolved tomorrow.

Pray for me!!!!!

(F)(F)(F)(F)(F) Sorry to hear that it happened. Hope your letter will reach them still in time  Wishing you the best (F)

The average wait is anywhere from 4-6 weeks. I hope they get this fixed right away.

Should be 4-6 days right? Just unbelievable...:wacko:

Come oooooon :o

Hey folks,

For all those who want to have been through NVC and want to try to track their application package to the embassy, I posted this.......

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=98172

Its based on some information that byron-leidy shared with me, and I tried to refine into something people could work with. If its WAYYYyyyy too confusing, let me know and I'll try to clean it up.

Of course, it is intended for ONLY those among us who are the most controlling and ####### retentive, and can't bear to let things get out of our sight now that we've been through NVC hell.

By the way, I called NVC last night and they told me that my application has been shipped to USEM (Embassy, Manila Philippines). That meant it was only in NVC for 2 days.

Thanks for finding this information! Even though I'd already called and got a confirmation from DOS that it was rec'd in Tokyo, this was nice and interesting to look at. Sure would've been nice to see something like this from CSC & NVC since they temporarily "misplaced" my package after it was approved in Oct. Thanks again for your hard work

For what it's worth, I just spoke to a customer service representative at the NVC. I asked her directly about the "one-shipment-a-month" rumor. Her reply was that she heard the same information from sources inside the NVC (though she could not confirm anything).

So I'll do as they suggest and sit on my hands and start calling once a week until I get word of progress

Yep,

When I called NVC, I specifically asked if they could tell me the shipment number, but they nicely said no. Its too bad, as it gives people the chance to get on-going information, even if its just for a little while. After what we have to go through with USCIS and NOA2 processing, its nice to be able to see a little progress.

Hello guys. Just want to share this with you.

We've got GOOD NEWS! My fiance called to the NVC today and a lady told our case was sent to the embassy here in BRAZIL on Nov. 26th. I've been checking all this time at the USCIS and no touches, no letters from the NVC and suddenly I asked Luke to call and we found out it.

I'm holding on it, hope it's true.

SO HAPPY!

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY!!!!!

REGARDS FROM A HOT BRAZIL.

Cool! This is my first post in this thread. I feel like a new member of different club. Our approval came yesterday and I guess it's fitting to begin roaming through this thread. Want to learn more about the tracking of petitions from NOA2 to the foreign embassy. And so far I've read some helpful things. But I will do some searching for the average waiting time. Anyway, nice to be here with you all! :D Its cool that this thread is a mix of both service centers. Now that we have graduated from our respective schools, we can join forces and share more common experiences. I like that.

22 Jun 05 - We met in a tiny bar in Williamsburg, Va. (spent all summer together)

27 May 06 - Sasha comes back for a 2nd glorious summer (spent 8 months apart)

04 Dec 07 - NVC sends case to U.S. Embassy Moscow

26 Dec 07 - Jason visits Sasha in Russia for the 4th and final time of 2007 :)

VSC is sending daily shipments. CSC is sending bulk shipments once every 4-6 weeks. I missed a shipment by (I believe) 2 days.
