My fiancee in the philippines told me today her girlfriend is paying an agency to get her a mutilple visit visa. from what she is told her friend can get into the US up to ten times. If this is true can we use this travel visa, which the agency say takes 2-3 weeks, to get her into the US and then get married? Basically she would be here and we get married. Does anyone know what is involved in this case. Could she stay here while we do the papaerwork or would she have to go back?

if anyone can help please email me. thanks

It is very difficult to get a visitor/tourist visa from the Philippines to come to the U.S. I would let someone else invest the money first

Depends on what kind of "paperwork" you're talking about. K3s have to return to the home country for consulate interviews so they can't just stay indefinitely in the US. If you're thinking about using the travel visa for her to get married in the US, she'll have to go home afterwards. Since it's also illegal to come over on a tourist/travel visa with the intent of using that visa to marry and stay afterwards in the US, expect that she'll be questioned quite heavily at the border by an immigration official about her intentions.

That is, if she can even get the tourist visa.

IMHO, if she does, she can kiss her money goodbye.... buyer beware... if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is...

the agency aside, if the intent is to use a tourist visa to come here, get married and stay, that is immigration FRAUD.

Considering that it is the embassy official who conducts the interview and makes the decision regarding to give or not to give said visa, it does sound like a scam. In my opinion, no one can help you get a visa except for yourself.

Manila can be a hard Embassy to obtain a tourist visa. significant to the Philippines have to be shown to obtain one. the CO will need to feel confidant the applicant will the USA before the visa expires. an agency saying 2 to 3 weeks, multiple entry ten year visa is what caught my eye. sounds fishy to me...

QFT. I would have her call around to several different places that offer visas to the US. If they can't provide the service that your fiance's girlfriend's place is providing, it's a scam. There are no hidden ways to get into the US (at least, not legally), so if this is a legitimate service then it can be provided by other legitimate businesses.

I'd be confident it's a scam. Single Filipinas don't get individually granted visitor visas for the US. Some tour groups might include some single women but the terms require the tour operator to retain the passports.

Even if she was here, getting married isn't your major challenge. Staying legally is. Even with a visa, the scheme is likely to result in profits for the scammer and as much as deportation with a lifetime ban on US entry for the visa holder attempting visa fraud.
