I've been known to wrap rocks and charcoal in colorful paper and put it in the bag of those I deemed "too old" for this event.

you would be the reason no one takes their kids trick or treating anymore

My daughter was really tall for her age. The year she had just turned 9 (her birthday is in October) she came home absolutely devastated. People wouldn't give her candy because they said she was too old to be out trick-or-treating. She never went out again. Please be careful when you make assumptions about childrens' ages. Little hearts hurt easily. And Mommy's hearts do too.

Candy for all, why not? I had some 'older' trick or treaters last night. They were in costume, they were polite and having a good time, they got some candy...I still have some left anyway.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I got one non-English speaking Hispanic grandmother. No joke. I'm talking at least 75 years old. I thought it was sweet, because I figure she was just getting some candy to give to her grandkids anyway, right?
