Book would be good!! BUT like a monkey awaiting its prize--every time the buzzer goes off, indicating a new # has been called, you will look up!! So best to bring a book that one doesn't have to concentrate on, one with lots of pics, like playboy or playgirl!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

don't forgot yourself...

:D

Good luck, Liz.

If you decide to take Flames' advice about the, err, reading material, you might want to bring some innocuous magazine to put in front of it.

Who, li'l ole moi?

:innocent: <--- Me

Heh, I actually did do that as a teenager, but it was to hide anything I was reading (always wholesome, of course!) inside a school book when I was supposed to be doing homework.

Oh yeah, one more thing to remember....

While your sitting upstairs waiting for your name to be called, sit in the front row of seats near the black screen on the ceiling, Not because you need to see that screen, but because the voice on the speakers is so low, it can be hard to hear anything. Especially when that place starts to pack up and everyone else who is there tends to have a big mouth.

Flames9, SonoranSongbird, really, viewing pornography at a government office no less. Have you no sense of decorum. For shame, for shame, for shame.:lol:

She needs to make a copy of the NOA2, and definitely not let them retain the original NOA2 if they request it. Is that correct?
