I'm 5"1. I'm sure by the time I'm 60 I'll be a midget. Every time I see my grandma and mom I just giggle. I swear they shrink every time I see them!

My mother has most definitely shrunk! My nana did too. She started out 5'2" and before she died she was 4'11"

Same thing happens on my mother's side of the family. We have lovely pictures spanning 4 generations taken in different decades and the women get progressively smaller, the older they are.

Actually there are many forms of dwarfism where the body proportions ARE what is "deemed" normal. Achondroplasia is the most well known, where there is a shortening of the long bones, causing the person to look out of proportion. The rest of the body tends to be the same as a non affected person.

Other forms of dwarfism affect humans in different ways and many look just like short humans, legs and arms all in proportion.

I am 6'2" so I am considered "tall" I guess. Luz on the other hand isn't what I would consider a "midget" or a "dwarf". People from that part of the world are naturally shorter on average than we are. But we all need to remember that good things come in small packages though. Heh, so does dynamite for that matter!!

Claudeth is 4"8" and I am 6"2".

I think the PC way is little people. Dwarfs perfer little people to migets, I don't think they like that word.
