Wintime,

Was your wife given any sheets of paper after the interview? If she wasn't, then that is a good sign. Some embassy's do not tell the applicant whether they are approved or not on the day. 4-5 weeks is a long time but it may be normal for your embassy. You might want to check the regional forum for the embassy and ask if this is a normal response to the interview.

I hope for a speedy, positive resolution for you :)

As for any paper given to my wife, no they did not give her any paper,

I tried calling them last night [morning time over there] but again no luck,

I hope too it will be nice ending to this long story,

Thank you so much C & J for your support.

Hi all,

I see that alot your spouses was been approved and Congratulation! to all of you. I have been out of visa journey for awhile now. But I also want to give a update on my wife process. My wife had her medical exam on Tuesday the FEB 12, and everything when very well. She called the Dr yesterday and the Dr had told her that medical exam is already at the US CONSULATE, I said wow that was very fast when the consulate told us that it would take about 2 weeks for the exam to get there. Her interview is on the 27th of this month and please prayer for us. I will keep everyone updated on our process.

Ahmad

Thanks C and J, faith11, YGandMat, JohnWendy, and Urge.

To answer your questions YGand Mat, the delay was caused because of document verification. In the Philippines Marriage Certificates, Birth Certificates, etc. must be printed on National Statistics Office paper. Evidently, someone must have found a way to forge or duplicate the paper. Anyway, since December you must pay a 650 PHP Document Verification fee and text message DELBROS at least two weeks prior to your interview to prevent a verification delay. Meryll paid the fee on January 7th to give plenty of time for verification. I called the Embassy to find out we are under AR due to verification of the documents.

Today, my sister-in-law called DELBROS management to find out when the verification was forwarded to the US Embassy. Surprise, it was never sent. They told her they would forward it today. Only a 5 week and 4 day delay.

Wintime, I know how you feel to be delayed. Maybe the Embassy is doing more checks. I hope you get the visa soon.

LOL, if only that was true. DELBROS sending our payment of document verification in this late will have no effect on the process. Meryll showed the receipt after the interview, when the man tried to charge her the fee a second time, and the process started then instead on on January 7th as it should have. The National Statistics Office began their verification of documents after the interview, so we are being treated as if we paid the fee after the interview. The purpose of paying the fee before the interview is to have the verification completed by the interview.

Thanks for the cheerful thoughts though.

I'm sorry to hear about the delay guys. Jaz and I are now worried about the same thing. We called DELBROS and, so they say, we are showing as paid and should be all set. For some strange reason, the cynical side in me is twitching... :hehe: I hope you guys are together really soon. You guys have waited your time and its awful to keep you guys (or any of us for that matter) apart any longer. You have our thoughts and prayers. :)

Edp it's a delay but it's not unfixable and that's the important thing. You know the problem and you know the remedy. I"m sorry it's going to take longer than you had expected but it is going to happen and you are going to be soooooooooo happy!

DaveJaz, is there a way you can check up with this DELBROS thing and make sure it was sent? like keep asking for the date it was sent or something? Good luck!

Hey Kathryn,

Yeah there is. Jazzie called them up and they confirmed with us. They have three methods. The first is to email at busdev@delbros.com. The second is to call them at: 0917-339-2761. Lastly you could txt them at (fastest actually) 0917-6221949. *sighs* I pray there are no more complications.
