ill add some other pics of flowers you might like...

gerber daisies are beautiful, but not very large

traditional beauty... casablanca lillies... and they have an incredible aroma

calla lillies... also traditional... very elegant

sunflowers... bright and cheery

and if you like a more tropical feel (they have an added bonus of lasting longer):

proteas

bird of paradise

anthurium

I had Gerberas - but I had three not one... lillies are gorgeous, but the smell makes me want to puke seriously, I hate the smell of lillies!!!

Amaryllis are gorgeous though... I love really simple bridal bouquets!

my sister is wanting me to use the magnolia... but that comes from a tree... how the heck could i hold a magnolia?

anyways... i LOVE tulips... maybe you could find a few tulips that would have the same color as the sash in your dress...

Oh, I love magnolias! (after checking google to find out what magnolias look like  )

Some of the bouquets with magnolias that google showed me were in fact really pretty - so maybe there is a way to use it for your wedding.

And yes, I'll definitely have the flowers match the fuchsia sash! :)

Loved this tulip bouquet too.

My only tip for the K-1 folks would be that if you are going to have a small civil ceremony and plan a larger thing later... make concrete plans ASAP! We had/have nebulous plans for a "church" wedding with friends and family, but as more and more time passes without planning anything and already being married (and everyone know it) the more I feel like that day would feel "fake" or like I was playing make-believe.

In retrospect, we would have kept the civil ceremony a SECRET or put more time into making it more special (it WAS special, just not the wedding I had dreamt of) as we both feel like we were cheated out of having "our" day.

That can't be more true! We're already married but NOBODY knows that! (eccept for you guys here in VJ) we thought that if we say we're already married it'd take away all the magic of being a white bride and a handsome groom plus we wanted all the drama of our parents and family being together and crying.

I had the most gorgeous boquet of red roses for my boquet. A bit traditional, but they were simple and elegant. Plus roses are my favourite flower.

http://gemmarkle.com/photos/main.php?g2_itemId=643

These were the flowers we had as a display on our buffet table.

http://gemmarkle.com/photos/main.php?g2_itemId=713

We had some lovely calla lilies in there, the best thing for you to do, might be to go and visit a florists and ask if you can see some of the displays and flowers they have there and see what you like.

I'm using a combination of snapdragons, wisteria, and sunset roses (all of them are silk) for my table decorations. My bouquet is a mix of roses and other flowers I can't remember the name of now :) But, we got all of our silk flowers for 1/2 price at Hobby Lobby and a professional florist told us he was impressed and thought they were gorgeous! My wedding colors are hot pink, yellow, and orange (think rich tropical, not neon :))

Oh, I just remembered another wedding tip (or idea):

a friend of mine had quite a big reception and they couldn't decide who should sit at their table with them. The first hour, the 8 (or so) places at their table were reserved for the closest family members, but after that, they had a little game or a little lottery every hour and the winners got to sit at their table for the next 60 minutes.

That was fun and everybody got to sit with the bride and groom for a while.
