Hello Everybody!!!

So do tell me your POE experiences if you ever where denied entrance , what was the reason? How long were you intending to stay? and how many visits till you were denied entrance maybe first ,second third....tenth ?

Did everyone have a breeze at the POE first visit ?

have not started my visa application, have not decided what route to take, planning my trip to America, and asking questions to see what best route to take . *breathes*.

Timeline

Both times I went to US (as a student in 1996 and as a turist in 2005) it was fine. Both times my POE was Miami, and first time I was in a group of students, no questions asked (and I was 16, the group leader took care of everything).

Last year they asked me a few questions regarding my visit and that was it. It only took a bit ´cus I was staying with my fiance (put staying with friend) and it was on the visa that I was staying with a friend and he asked me about this friend. But the guy didn´t give me a hard time. True that I arrived in Miami at 3 am and I bet nobody was too much in the mood to work. :P

  • blocked awaiting corrected documents at YYC (as I had an incorrect format TN-1 letter) Feb 1995 (I had to reschedule to the next day, go to a copy-shop and receive a fax of the corrected offer letter)

why don't you need a timeline? Stats on this website are calculated from our timelines - it would help everyone if you DID have one...

are you above timelines?

I was denied entry at Toronto airport PFI for business trip. the company I worked for at the time had me travelling back and forth fairly frequently, but had an unwritten policy to *not* get employees proper documentation visa until they were already denied and banned :P

I however never was denied to cross for personal reasons after that, but usually had to endure secondary inspection. If I made sure to not pack anything even remotely work related (ie: not even have a business card in my wallet) then they would let me pass. I was on a first name basis with a few DOJ officers at Pearson Terminal 2.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

While I agree that timelines are helpful, especially when an OP is asking a question sdirectly pertaining to a particular step of the visa process, the OP in this instance hasn't asked any visa specific questions. Therefore I don't really think that everyone should be getting on his case about his lack of a timeline.

He has asked for examples of why people were denied entry to the US. Thats all !!

Mark :)

good point luv2teach!!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."
