Wes informed me before we married there are only two foods from the UK he can't live without - HP Sauce and Branston Pickle.

HP Sauce I can understand. Branston Pickle looks and smells like brown snot. We actually love to wave the jar under the nose of unsuspecting teenagers for their reaction.

I'm fond of Digestives and WagonWheels.

Oh.........we must have tea. Numbarrie or Bewley's. Box-car loads in fact. And that's MY requirement. American tea is floor sweepings.

Ya know RJ, I was very dubious about the merits of Branston Pickle, and then I discovered the small chunk variety. Oh sheer heaven with my cheese and crackers. Next week I will have a new supply!! Oh joy!!

Here's what I have come up with so far....weetabix, white musk from the body shop, sarsons vinegar, a bag of fish and chips, galaxy chocolate, crunchies, some pics of the good ole english countryside and christmas crackers!! I know some of them are unrealistic for them to bring....but they asked what i wanted so.......!!

I am able to get quite a bit of Brit stuff at my local Meijer supermarket, including weetabix, hobnobs, branston, HP, Marmite and gravy granules. Although like someone else said, I have weaned myself off them by now!

What I did ask for the last time someone was coming over was Ibuprofen gel (Ibuleve etc - it is great if you have a stiff neck); Germolene and Oxo cubes. Next time I want a tiny bottle of TCP! Gosh, I sound like a hypochondriac!

A big bar of Cadburys Dairy Milk always goes down well too!

Annie would say that we can never have enough Galaxy chocolate in the house.

You may want to see if there is a World Market near you. They have a great selection of 'international' foods and we find quite bit there. We have seen weetabix plenty of places.

I bought Cadburys flake, cadburys digestives last week and this week they even had jaffa cakes in there, expensive but worth it somtimes!!!

Ahh you never know! I live in a tiny town and we can get haggis...

Not that I eat it! But we can get it! :)

TOSH: I am sure you can find Golden Syrup and Roses Marmalade stateside.

If not at a regular grocery(which we have here), but The World Market has them.

Pretty sure they have Jelly Babies there too...

not seen the Dark Choco biscuts but they may get them.

They have the dark chocolate McVitie's digestives in the World Market near my house. (Yay. They're my favourite.) Weetabix is everywhere but you can't get the little honey nut mini ones yet. Haven't seen Roses marmalade but thank goodness I can get the lime cordial.
