What are the odds they will not notice?

I filed for K-1 may 18 and I am still waiting on NOA 2, after all this time of not hearing anything, I happened to notice (when looking at a copy) that I did not fill in the "place of birth" for my fiance's father on the documents I sent in. The city has changed names over the years and I meant to determine which name to use and somehow never filled it in. (he is deceased for some time now)

What are the odds they will let this slide?

Should I contact them now with this info as it might save time in the long run?

If so, how to contact them, via phone?

You know, I think it's not important because it says if it's known, but contacting them anyway to correct it over the phone might get them to touch your case which could lead to actions considering they are working on May cases now (at least in VSC). So I say, give them a call. it couldn't hurt. Call the national service number.

You might just want to wait for an RFE. The form says "if known," so they may just ignore it. Whereas bringing it to their attention may automatically generate an RFE. I have no basis in fact for this line of reasoning, just a thought.

Best of luck!

An RFE means they are looking at your case so it's a good thing.

no, a good thing is theyve looked at the petition and your approved. getting an RFE isnt good even if it does mean they are viewing your case, all it means is another up to 60 day delay.

as of yet, I have not received any RFE, in fact my case on-line has not so much as been touched.

I just wondered if; rather than wait until the do RFE me, should I jump the gun and get them this info now in an effort to save longer delay later on.

Anyway, if I were to call and bring up this issue, I doubt the person on the phone could make any changes but maybe there is another "case handler" or some such title who could do it?

As we said, wait for the RFE. The chances of you sending that info & it ccatching up to your petition are about nil.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

If by 'good' you mean 'crappy time waster' then yeah I'd tend to agree

I am a May filer (5/2/07) and had a similar issue. I omitted some information on my petition. I asked my attorney the same questions you are asking now. He said, "Let it slide. Contacting them now will only trigger an RFE." He was right. Seven days later we had our NOA2.
