Geting a green card

Okay so I didn't see any section where this could fit so I write this in here.

I've finished my studies in university on telecommunications in Finland and I would like to move in U.S. permanently. I don't like living in cold Finland, so I thought that U.S. would be good option. I've been searching and searching for information how could I move in U.S. and work there but I really didn't find anything that would help me.

There is some kind of Green Card Lottery, but I dont think that is good way to get a Green Card because it's about 1/70 win.

My grades are good so I would get some kind of job for sure.

If someone just could tell me where to start and what to do.

I hope someone can help.

I don't know the procedures or which visa it is, but I DO know that you have to have the job offer in place, along with accommodation arrangements in order to come to the US. You can't just come over to LOOK for work.

i heard spain is nice and warm. should be no trouble moving within the EU. Or am I mistaken about that?

but if you really wantto move to the us, err or i mean get a green card... options are susually, lottery, jobb route (not always the case), marriage to an american citizen/resident.

Immigrations to the USA are quite limited.

  • Employment based, finding an employer that has need for your skills, that are not common domestically, they will need to sponsor you. Number per year is limited.
  • Family based either through marriage to a US Citizen, or through a parent, or sibling that is a US Citizen.
  • Visa lottery.

Well, I can't speak spanish at all so english-speaking country would be only option. Maybe I just have to participate in lotteries or get a job in a company which can transfer me to the states. Am I correct?

something to that effect, yes. or marry a US citizen.

new zealand takes in immigrants. should be warmer than finland and they speak english there.
