Hey everyone.... :help:

I am currently looking at the VONAGE Digital Phine service and i have noticed that they also have INTERNATIONAL RATES....

My question is this has anyone ever used or currently using this service and how was it or how well is it working for you???

Any advice as the Philippines are the most expensive country to call otherwise.

:help::help::unsure:

Thanks

Do you have the ability to use Yahoo Messenger? They now have phone available right in the messenger software and it doesn't cost anything. I used to talk to my friend in the Philippines all the time using it.

If you are looking at VoIP, I HIGHLY suggest looking into: www.voipyourlife.com

We've had perfect quality domestic and international 99.5% of the time. Free calls to a hand full of countries, and low rates for the others. Definitely was better than using phone cards :D

D has Vonage in the UK which offers free calling to me here, and he also has a virtual number that's a local number to me. So I can call him even when I'm out on my cellphone and it only costs me the mins in my plan.

There's also the website, which is a great help as well...cos if he's out, I can go into vonage.co.uk and change the call diversion to a number where he's at. I can even divert to his mobby for free for me (there is a charge for him, so we keep that to a min)

It has been a Godsend to us, and deffo much better than the $600 and £400 phone bills we used to pay in the past!!!

YEAH! Yahoo messenger definitely. My brother is calling Moldova using it and it's less than 1 cent/minute. I'm sure Philippines shouldn't be too bad with it either

I've used vonage - okay international, but not the cheapest. I'm paying about 5cents/minute to Russia, 1 cent a minute to Moscow now.

I wouldn't plan on using VOIP as your only phone - if the company goes out of business (which happens), there is a good chance of losing your phone number. Plus, whenever broadband goes out, you have no phone.
