10/23/2007--7 months and 2 weeks of A/P and still waiting..........God help me!

4/22/2008---2nd Interview ( keep us in your prayers)

4/22/2008--He was approved for the Visa 2-3 weeks until he recieves it in the mail lets hope so!!

6/03/2008--VISA IN HAND! Thank you god!

7/03/2008--Our Wedding Day!

Congrats Doodle!! I know you were so worried about that.

I really was!!! My biggest concern was that Usama's youngest sister wouldn't let in the two men who had tried to come to the appt so they wouldn't approve us since they couldn't do a home interview. I think now those two men probably were police trying to sort out a different matter pertaining to the neighbor downstairs so it is a good thing she never opens the door to strangers but still that was soooo gnawing on my brain!!!

12/28/06 - got married :)

02/05/07 - I-130 NOA1

02/21/07 - I-129 NOA1

04/09/07 - I-130 and I-129F approval email sent!!!!

04/26/07 - Packet 3 received

06/16/07 - Medical Examination

06/26/07 - Packet 3 SUBMITTED FINALLY!!!!

07/07/07 - Received pkt 4

07/22/07 - interview consular never bothered to show up for work.

07/29/07 - interview.

06/06/06 I-130 sent (finally!!)

10/06/06 At NVC and case # assigned. Woohoo!!!

Im so out of the loop here. Since I have not even gotten the friggin NOA2 I dont even know any thing beyond that. What is DOS, and when does our application go there?

It's different for each embassy but for Cairo, NORMALLY, after one has their interview, the case is sent immediately (within a week) to the Department of State in Washington DC for security checks. Normally that is nothing to celebrate since it could take anywhere from a week to several months, but for some of us our case was stuck in Cairo for a while and never even went to DOS and we couldn't get any information on why, etc. so now at least we're out of that mini-black hole and on to the next black hole. lol

12/28/06 - got married :)

02/05/07 - I-130 NOA1

02/21/07 - I-129 NOA1

04/09/07 - I-130 and I-129F approval email sent!!!!

04/26/07 - Packet 3 received

06/16/07 - Medical Examination

06/26/07 - Packet 3 SUBMITTED FINALLY!!!!
