Ok - so I sent my AOS in on 16/7 - had my noa1 and bio (nearly 1 mnth ago). I was sure (and still am), and so were other people that I would get a RFE for my marriage cert, as I didnt send a certified copy. I have seen that alot of people who had sent in their AOS after me have received RFE's, and even though I dont want one, I'm worried that they sent me one and it got lost in the mail or something. The last time I had a touch was when they sent the NOA1 out to me in july. They didnt touch my case when I had the bio or anything. What are your thoughts? Am i worrying way to much?

You're worrying for nothing. The USCIS doesn't require the original anymore. Just bring it with you at the interview and you'll be just fine. As long as you sent a photocopy of your marriage license you are just fine.

But they can always send an RFE for something else, you never know.

I haven't had my cased touched either, you have to remember they are working on a lot more applications right now and probably don't have the time to update things.

The instructions of the i485 state "a copy of the marriage certificate".

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485instr.pdf

Based on admission as the K-1 fiancé(e) of a U. S.citizen and subsequent marriage to that citizen.

Attach a copy of the fiancé(e) petition approval notice, a copy of your marriage certificate and your Form 1-94

Don't be an over-worryer. If the status online wasn't updated to show an RFE was sent, you shouldn't worry about it missing in the mail. As soon as you get an appointment letter everything will be more-betterer.

You didn't read what the OP said. He did not say COPY he said CERTIFIED copy. His original marriage certificate was never certified. JamalNTam I remember you from your original posts when you first filed. Should you be worried? No. Cases are moving quite slow at the moment and you still have awhile to wait before you hear anything. Usually it takes 3 months to get your EAD or AP if you applied for it. And then, well, who knows when the GC interview or transfer to CSC will be.

Don't worry! If you do though, call USCIS to see if they sent anything out or make an info pass appt. But I'm sure they haven't sent you an RFE yet. But just because you haven't gotten one, doesn't mean you aren't going to get one so sit tight.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

 It's always good to have a certified copy of your marriage certificate and you should easily be able to get one from your county recorders office.

No need to worry! Usually if they need anything else, they ask for it at the interview. So just be prepared then. And if your case is transferred, you may get an RFE later; or maybe they'll just give the approval anyway!
