I am worried it is a little dark. It was taken from a digital camera but it appears a little dark. Is it OK to send with the I-129F?

It is better to spend a few bucks and get it done as someone suggested (walgreens). To save a couple of bucks may cost you time in processing your K1. Your going to wait as it is, no need to put yourself behind the eight ball.

MARCH 7, 2007 - SENT I-129F TO CSC

MARCH 13, 2007- NOA1

MARCH 19, 2007- REC'D BY SNAIL MAIL

May 23, 2007- APPROVED!

May 24, 2007- Rec'd e mail stating I was approved on the 23rd!!!!

May 29, 2007- Arrives at NVC

May 30, 2007- Called NVC and received MNL#

May 31, 2007- Left NVC headed to MANILA

June 4, 2007- Petition Arrives at USE Manila

June 12, 2007- Packet Mailed from Manila

June 25, 2007- Rec'd Packet

July 27, 2007- Medical appointment Aug. 3, 2007- August 3rd Interview, APPROVED!!! 149 days from filing!!!

Sept. 7,2007- Mary will be landing in LAX

It is dark, the positioning is incorrect, and the background needs to be completely white or off white. :o

I agree, go to a place that does passport photos and get it done properly.

USCIS has those rules listed on the petition for a reason - why wouldn't you follow what they ask you to do?

I agree, if you submit that picture, you sure will get a RFE for a "real" passport photo. Spend the 6 dollars, and get a true photo. It's worth it in the long run..

16 July 07 - I-129F delivered to VSC and signed for by P. Novak

20 July 07 - NOA1 issued / receipt number assigned

27 Sep 07 - Jason travels to Moscow to be with Sasha for 2 weeks

28 Nov 07 - NOA2 issued...TOUCHED!...then...APPROVED!!!

01 Dec 07 - NVC receives/assigns case #

04 Dec 07 - NVC sends case to U.S. Embassy Moscow

26 Dec 07 - Jason visits Sasha in Russia for the 4th and final time of 2007 :)

22 Feb 08 - Moscow Interview! (APPROVED!!!)..Yay!

24 Mar 08 - Sasha and Jason reunite in the U.S. :)

31 May 08 - Married

29 Dec 08- Alexander is born

11 Jan 10 - AOS / AP / EAD package sent

It was well worth the big 9 bucks I spent at walgreens for the pics not to have a problem with uscis. Within 10 minutes the photos were done and exactly what was required. Usually they will give you the extra copies for free.

thats what i did.

yep and well worth it since my pic was not rejected and sent back.

OP your better off having walgreens or CVS doing it. i wouldnt risk it by doing it yourself. saving some money is awesome but dont try to do this with your pics for USCIS.

Why take the risk? Go and take some proper photographs and ensure they meet the USCIS requirements.

There is no point in cutting corners with your K1 Visa. Get everything as complete and thorough as you can. You'll only end up worrying for weeks otherwise. If they do reject your photos, you'll have wasted weeks.
