I Have met my Girlfriend online, she is from the philippines, we have become close, we chat, video chat everynight, we have constant contact during her evening/My mornings and her morning/my evenings.

I have spoken to an immigration attorney , and he suggest that we take a route with the K1 visa for her.

Another Attorney suggest I take the route in going to see her and marry her there where she lives and file for the I-130.

My question is which one is really better, and quicker

Please need help

Go meet her first...................

Then think about it.

DITTO! Lots of LDRs don't work out when they meet in person.

Have you met your girlfriend in person yet? If so, you might want to consider making a trip to visit her in person before you even start filing for any kind of petition. One of the requirements to file the K1 visa is that you two must have met in person within the last 2 years.

Personally, I wouldn't want to make that kind of important decision if I hadn't even met my intended in person, despite how often we communicate in other ways.

#1. Meet her in person, and gather evidence of said meeting in terms of passport stamps, boarding passes, receipts with both your names on it, photographs, etc.

#2. Talk to her and decide what you want to do - get married in Phillipines or get married in U.S.

#3. Choose the K-1 or K-3 based on what your plans are. Both are similar (give or take a couple of months) in time frame... and both can be very long depending on how the process falls out. That is why it is very important to decide what you want first, and pick the visa path that matches your desires.

And don't forget, just like the stock market, past results do not guarantee future performance... so just because a K-1 or K-3 was fast before; does not mean it will be fast for you.

Best of luck!

I completely agree with my predecessors. I strongly recommend that you meet in real life. Virtual relationship does not quite cut it.

Take a trip, spend some time together and get to know each other better. Then make your decision.

Haste is recommended only when catching flies :D.

Best of luck to both of you.
